Simply put: BAD! The hotel had me initial 5-6 statements on a form upon check-in. The one reads "rooms are rented as is". Presented with this a seasoned traveler would run. However, I did not have time to find another place to stay for the one night. The hotel was in the path of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. But the condition of the hotel is due to lack of maintenance and updating. The only obvious hurricane damage was to the pool. All the hotel's doors and windows appeared to be original 20-30 year old originals. All interior finishes and furnishings appeared to be old. My room condition was as follows: No hot water. A desk phone that did not work. A room safe that did not work. Air conditioning that stopped working in the middle of the night. A sink that drained slowly. I eventually asked the front desk for permission to use a shower in another guest room. They agreed. The first room they gave me did not have hot water. The second room did not have hot water. The third one did. None of this appeared to surprise the front desk staff. They just gave me another key and said "try this one". The front desk seemed resigned to the deficiencies of their hotel. Last, the bar/restaurant served me toast when I ordered focaccia.

Horrible! Avoid this hotel

Driving into the parking lot we found a pair of panties in the parking lot and we joked about the hotel, well then we found a sock on a palm in the entrance. We got to our rooms and my coworkers room was in front of some rooms that were damaged his closet did not have a ceiling, my room looked nice but the AC was not working then in the middle of the night there was a man knocking on my room saying he was housekeeping. I did not open it of course and I could hear him walking from room to room saying that then later I could hear him in the other hall saying he had a lost puppy! Turns out he was selling drugs, the reason I found out because the next day at 6 am his girlfriend was in the parking lot yelling at him for selling drugs and being out all night at the hotel. Cherry on top was that the hotel charged my credit card again for the stay. I've tried to dispute the charge but accounting department doesn't answer my calls. DON'T STAY HERE. I can't believe Travelocity does business with this hotel

24 Hour Getaway

Pros: distance from airport
Cons: Service and information on construction
I made this reservation at the last minute. After a three hour flight, I walked to the hotel within ten minutes. Well, this is where the drama began. Check-in was easy. However, they forgot to tell me that they were doing construction on the room where I was staying. Sawing concrete is not something I wanted to hear on my 24 hour getaway. Well, lets go to the pool and bar to wind down. Well, they forgot to mention that the Pool Bar was closed for renovations. So, I had to sleep by the pool for an hour to get my composure. I went to the front desk to see they could put me at their sister hotel. Yes for $149.000. You got to be kidding. The sister property is where the shuttle took you to eat, drink, and swim. After all of this, they charged me a resort fee at checkout for amenities that I could not use. No one provided me with a workable solution for my 24 hour getaway. By now, I guess you can read it was a disaster.

Okay in a pinch. Close to airport.

The room was clean but over priced. No fridge or microwave mosquitoes in the room. I will try some place else next trip.

Only if you need something close to the airport

Pros: The view.
Cons: About everything. They did not respond to our complaint, the room was in disrepair. It would be nice if people seemed to care at all.
Our experience was terrible. First issue-I call in advance to let them know we will be late ask the best way to get to the property. I had looked online it seemed really close to the airport and I was wondering if we could walk. They say it is about a 5 min taxi ride. When we go to get in the taxi there is much confusion about whether we are staying at coral beach or carrib beach - no information on the site, reservation or anything about which one it is. After confusing five min conversation the taxi knows where to go. We pull out of the airport and drive 30 seconds. That is not an exaggeration. 30 seconds and pull up to a Best Western. Confusion ensues because there is no information that the property is associate with Best Western, I was told it was a 5 min drive. I call the hotel to confirm that we are at the right location before allowing the taxi to take off. We are at the right spot- pay the cabbie $16 for a 30 second ride. Then we get to our room. 1/2 to 3/4 of the lights don't work. The furniture is bashed all bashed in and held together with glue, there is a blood? stain on the shower curtain and the door to the bathroom doesn't close. Overall not happy. The view in the morning is great- so that is a plus. On our final night we had a special surprise when a two year old ran into the middle of the room - while I was in the shower- because the hotel had given our room to another party that just showed up. Terrible!
