The Plaza Beach has been a staple on St Pete Beach for decades. I’ve had the pleasure of staying there on numerous occasions. This place is all about location and hospitality. It’s no frills. No restaurant, no lounge. But there are restaurants everywhere and the tiki bar is more than adequate and very affordable. Rooms are clean and the staff makes you feel you’re at the Ritz. The nostalgia and retro atmosphere is awesome. Just a great place!

We loved our stay so much that we’re already booking another trip there again for next month!! The staff was so friendly and helpful! We loved Sharina/ Sherri and Annika! they were both very knowledgeable and friendly!! We loved the location too. The heated pool was sooo nice at night and we loved the walking distance to nearby restaurants! The room was super cute as well (we stayed in the studio) but still had enough room. If you’re looking for somewhere you can park your car and relax on the beach then this is exactly the place. They did say they got pretty torn up from the hurricane but you wouldn’t even be able to tell since they did such a good job on all the repairs!! Loved this place so much!

Great Stay for a Family Beach Vacation!

Our stay was great! My boys had a blast hanging out by the pool, playing volleyball, and enjoying corn hole in between our daily trips to the beach. This is definitely an older hotel, so don’t expect anything fancy or upscale—but it was perfect for our week-long vacation. Despite its age, everything was well-maintained and kept very clean, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was fun and laid-back, making it ideal for families. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a simple, relaxing beach getaway!

Fantastic Stay – Already Planning Our Return! We had an amazing time at the Plaza Beach Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. Sharina checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was perfect—her attentiveness truly made a difference in our stay. Tanner was incredibly accommodating and made our sunset check-out seamless and stress-free (thank you for that!). And Annika was such a joy—super friendly and always available for anything we needed. Every morning started with delicious coffee, and we spent our days relaxing by the awesome pool or soaking up the sun on the beautiful beach just steps away. The atmosphere was relaxed, clean, and exactly what we were hoping for. We’ll definitely be back—already looking forward to our next visit!

Such a cute spot! A TON of amenities. Games, mini golf, rooftop outdoor lounge area, pool, tiki bar, grills, play area in the sand for kids, volleyball nets, you name it!! They really go above and beyond providing for their guests. If you’re looking for something fancy and modern, this isn’t the place for you. It’s out-dated (but does have large smart TVs) and the room smells of must/mold. Bathroom wasn’t super clean and we found a live cockroach. Other than that, simply for the atmosphere and the people we will stay again in the future. The vibe is amazing! Great for all ages.

We had a room with a balcony facing the ocean. The staff were excellent and the room and facilities were good. This hotel is a more affordable option if you want easy beach access on Gulf Blvd. in St. Pete. Make arrangements if you are checking in late. The front office closes at 7pm and doesn't reopen until 8am. Overall, this was good value for the money.

We were not happy that the pool was not ready for use until the last day of our stay. We were told bc we booked through Expedia, they should have notified us but that didn’t happen. The use of key cards was very inconvenient. We were given wristbands to wear do they should have been used to enter our room. Key cards are too hard to keep up with at the beach! The air conditioner in our room was not working correctly. When an employee came to check it, all he did was place his hand in front of it and state that the air was fine. WRONG! It was set on 61 degrees but was nowhere near 61 degrees in the room. We were given a box fan on our 4th day to help cool the room. I realize they were still recovering from the hurricane but maybe they should have finished their remodeling before opening their doors. Will not be returning anytime soon.

They were very prompt when answering questions or issues. The staff was very friendly. However, the kids play area looks like yard sale clutter and the what is suppose to be a private beach is congested with locals bringing in their own tents that even finding a seat with a view of the water seems impossible. As far as the room goes, the theme vision was clear, however needs updates. Ceiling fan needs replaced, took a long time to cool the room down. Never saw a housekeeper in our 3 day stay.

I liked proximity to beach. It's truly beachfront. Customer service was adequate. However, the hotel and rooms are not boutique or antique, just outdated. Cracked sink and bathtub. Door was poorly sealed, bugs can crawl under to get inside.
