So close to the beach, and walking distances to a dozen restaurants. The beach was clean and very nice. The room was great, bed comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice too.

The restaurants that were supposed to be part of the hotel were closed each night that we stayed. The breakfast buffet which was a standard continental breakfast was $30. The phone in the room didn’t work. The bartenders at the tiki hut were rude. And they didn’t offer to bring drinks to the umbrellas. For $90 for the umbrella and chairs and $15 drinks figured they would at least bring you your drinks to your chairs. The bartender inside the hotel was at least very nice and had great service.

Nice place but not so nice view.

We chose to forgo our usual condo rental in Treasure Island to stay in the heart of Clearwater. We chose Hilton due to its closeness to the beach, stores, and restaurants. We were not disappointed with the location. This hotel is considered a resort and you pay resort prices for your stay. If you drive you will not be able to park on the property yourself. You HAVE to use their valet. You will pay $29 a day for the mandatory convenience. It was nice but we would have chosen to park our own vehicle. The resort charge of $34 a day covered beach and pool towels, use of the pool, 1 hour for a paddleboard, and one picture from a half hour photography session. In addition to the resort charge you will still have to pay for beach chairs, umbrellas or cabana rentals if you want to go out on the beach. You are not allowed to set up your own chairs on their private beach. However, you can walk past the designated cones and set up your own chairs there. Which is what others do and in doing so, blocks the view of the ocean if you rent the beach furniture from Hilton. The food and drinks are expensive. You can choose to eat there or just go across the street to the many restaurants. Staff at the hotel was nice and our room was clean. However, check in was at 4, we arrived at 6 and our room was still not ready. No one could explain why but the did give us a $65 credit. Glad we didn’t get there at the time we were allowed to check in. A very disappointing thing for me was the view.

Pros: Excellent location, close to great restaurants and shops, right on the beach and next to the pier. Cons: Did not like the fact that on the pictures the hotel does not look it's real age and condition. This is a very, very old hotel and everything on it screams that at you. It sticks like a sore thumb next to all other buildings next to it on both sides. Needs desperately a remodeling. Our A/C was working on and off, but was tolerable until on the last night it just stopped working and we were sweating bullets inside the room. The staff address and resolved the issue quick but this is another way to show of how old everything is on this place really is, staring for the cracked walls on the façade to the doors and beat up furniture and fridges missing the wired bottle holders on the door. If you ask me I would not book this hotel again, for that money I can book something newer and better. also It was rated as a 4 star hotel, Hmmmmm, I do not see how!!!

Terrible room but cheap. Dirty beach. Broke toilet. Shampoo fell off wall. Towel rack fell off wall. Room wouldn't stay cold.

Wasn’t pleased with the cleanliness, bedding found to be not cleaned well. Rooms really small. Had to pay extra for beach chairs and umbrellas. It Was not explained as an option. Assumed with resort fee that should be included. Pool bathrooms smelled really bad.

I loved everything about our stay at the Hilton overall. We are frequent travelers and always stay at the Hilton resorts on the beach. The only reason I can’t leave 5 stars is due to the “private beach access”. Unfortunately, the “private beach” is behind the public beach. Granted, the beach and resort are beautiful, I was disappointed the beach was not private for Hilton members only. I feel that the listing was misleading because I would not have stayed here had I known the beach wasn’t truly private. Also, the chair & umbrella set up is extremely expensive. I was ok with the price because I appreciate the convenience. However it was not worth it to have a public beach in front of the view. I very much enjoy a private beach & felt a little ripped off that I paid for a beachfront with a private beach at a 100% premium rate for a public beach to be in front. Private beach is high on my list of importance when booking, so if you plan forking out about $500 on renting chairs this is not the place to do it. Overall our stay was amazing. 10/10 customer service upon arrival & the gentleman who checked me in made me feel so welcomed it surpassed my annoyance with the chairs. (I wish I knew his name) The housekeeping is very friendly and professional. I recommend this place if you don’t care about a private beach!

Only valet parking at 30$ a day. You have to rent chairs etc.. For the beach
