Cefn Vastre The tree on the top of the ridge is almost on the north-south gridline and is marked on the map in the NE corner of the square. So there are parts of at least four squares visible in this photo. There is a farm out of shot to the right called Cefn-y-faesdre which is undoubtedly better Welsh spelling but another property in that direction is Bronyvastre and a farm out of shot to the left is Cefyn-vastre while the roof at the bottom of the picture is on the Vastre Industrial Estate so V wins over F on this occasion. Viewed from Barn Lane.

Cygnets on the Severn, Newtown A peaceful river for a change after a summer of heavy rains. Compare with the high water level seen here https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/993448 the following year. The summer house has not been moved.
