Hotel is part of the athletic club so expect dress codes. Nice bar to sit and relax. Loved the location as able to walk to Gateway Arch, restaurants. Fee for parking but it’s in a garage and well worth it in my opinion. We were able to park upon arrival and leave our vehicle in the garage until we checked out.

Convenient, but....
Rooms are very dated, especially bathrooms with poor water pressure, and no night lights in bathroom which has a step to manuever. Windows are drafty and the noise from outside feels like the windows are open. Pillows are not comfortable and room smells like someone had been smoking. Front desk manager pleasant and nice.

The hotel overall is beautiful but I feel when you use discount sites or apps that are not direct hotel websites they give you the worst rooms available. I really liked the staff but I was first given a room next to the smokers lounge and a major highway. It was loud and smelled of tobacco. Only after I complained was I given a room in a non smoking floor with a view of a brick wall. I didn’t mind since it was dark, clean and quiet. The staff was very nice but hesitated to change the room initially.

Grand old property in need of updating
This is a facility with a great location and stunning public spaces. In the rooms, though, it shows its age. The small desk had an old and somewhat rickety chair, the bathroom had peeling paint and it would have been easy to fall in the bathroom, as the tub bottom was slick, there was an odd step up to get into the bathroom, and there was no ventilation. The biggest issue was heat. It was in the 40s outside but the small, old radiator barely brought out heat. Maintenance came but said there was little they could do. I went to bed early because at least I could be warm under the blankets. Definitely needs an updated thermostat and heat system. The room was so dark that I had to use my phone flashlight to try to see the wall controls! I would not stay here again.

Wonderful experience!
It was our first time staying at the Missouri Athletic Club. It was fantastic. The rooms were cozy and the hotel itself is stunning. It's a Nationally registered historic building and was so much fun to explore. Parking was easy. We would definitely stay there again!

Convenient location
Front desk and lobby staff were terrific - friendly, engaging, and the character of the building and the club are very evident in the shared space. The rooms are... efficient. Bed was great, the mechanics, bathroom, etc are dated, but nothing an embrace of "character" couldn't make nothing more than a touch of comedy. We were there with a seeming youth volleyball tournament, and the building is shy on soundproofing, but nothing that disrupted our stay. We visited both the 1st floor bar and 4th floor restaurant, with the same welcoming host, and the bar staff was very accommodating and engaged (we had a time limit). Food is... basic. The location was great and we'd come back again, though the dated condition of the room limits who I'd recommend it to.
