Everything was great.but,when we first arived the card i had on file only charged 1 room and wouldnt charge for my second room.i had to drive to a gas station to get money out of the atm with the card and come back.would have been better if it charged for both together.

Fun hotel for a weekend getaway

My husband and I stayed two nights with our kids, ages 14, 12 and 8. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had booked one night originally and wanted to add on another night but couldn't figure out how, so I made a second reservation. Mikaela check us in and spent quite a bit of time trying to give us the same room for both nights, which she was able to do! The room was average sized and clean. The housekeeper we spoke to in the morning to let her know that we weren't checking out was very friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast in The Haymarket hotel restaurant and Beverly was delightful! The food was delicious. There was also a breakfast buffet available, but in the restaurant kids eat free, so we took advantage of that! The only problem we had was with the smell of smoke in our room that we woke up to each morning. Our room had an outside balcony that was shared with another room. In the morning, the other guests would smoke on the balcony and it made our room smell awful. (Our door to the balcony was closed but it didn't matter.) People with allergies be warned, it was really strong. Because of this, I would not stay in this type of room again, but I'm not sure what the other options would be. We did not report this to the staff because once we figured out what it was, we were leaving that morning and there was nothing they could do to fix it. Other than that, we had a nice stay.
