Pet Policy
We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!
Please note: our well water has a strong sulfur smell, similar to rotten eggs, caused by high concentrations of manganese in the soil. It's very common in this area. We've had the water tested, and it's perfectly safe for drinking, cooking, and bathing. That said, you likely won't like the taste for drinking -- so we use a water cooler and we usually have about 10 5-gallon Primo water containers on hand for guests.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.

The cabin and location were beautiful. Great communication. It was nice to wake up to the view of the lake in the morning. The only negative thing I have to say is the water smelled horrible. When showering you could smell it throughout the house. The chlorination system has been broken for some time and hasn’t been fixed. We would love to stay again if the water situation gets fixed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. The cabin was clean and super cute! It was amazingly quiet. We enjoyed the woodburning stove during the snow fall. It was perfect for our dog with the deck opening to a portion of the yard fenced in. A nice kitchen and washer and dryer we're very appreciated. A great host. We would definitely go back.
Could be a very nice home on the lake if more care was taken. Sort of a hodge-podge place with pieces of plooring missing, cabinets without handles, lots of cobwebs and a bit dirty overall. The bathroom was not good, the toilet water was brown and the water came out as a trickle in the sink. Bathroom needs a thorough clean. Nothing outside was properly stored, there was a paddle boat filled with dirt and rainwater that appeared to have been sitting there for quite a while. There were no check out instructions so we empied the trash and did the dishes. Not sure what the host wanted done at check out.

Liked: Communication, location, listing accuracy
The setting was beautiful and peaceful and the cabin was generally nice. The interior was clean but rough around the edges. It felt like it was a cabin used frequently by a family with many things in various state of needing repair. I had to fix two light fixtures to get them to work and I had to pound down nails in the floorboards that would otherwise cut our feet. Floors and cabinets seem to be partially updated but not fully (e.g missing handles or sections of floor still bare plywood). We didn't let any of this ruin our weekend but it made me question the price. My advice to others would be to consider this cabin rough around the edges as opposed to one made fully ready for rental.
