While we liked the property and room itself (the soaking tub was lovely) there were no handles to help you into/out of tub, which is a concern for my husband with a bad hip (I did ask about ADA room after booking but was informed that they did not have them) I realize that a fully accessible room is rather difficult to do in a historic property, but at least having grab bars and taller height toilets would be helpful and easily done. The staff at the basement restaurant were fantastic, btw!

The building was fantastic and full of history as being one of the first hotels in Spokane. Rooms were large and had high ceilings. Loved the unique euroshowers! Parking was gated and locked up at night. Discounts to local restaurants were included in the stay and so many fun things to see in the area, the famous fox theatre being right across.

A great location!
If you have an event at one of the local theaters, such as the Fox, this is right across the street and is an excellent option! We enjoyed our long weekend stay for a wedding. The front desk staff was not super friendly nor did they go out of their way to be helpful, but we didn’t let that hamper our weekend fun.

Boutique hotel safety minded, accomodating ataff to your needs. We were able to wash clothes on day 5 of our trip. Second floor lounge was pleasant surprise for coffee and pastries in the morning. Dining options close by with some gibing discounts be ause of say at Montvale.

We like staying in hotels with character and this place has it. Even though it is right next to the railroad track with the double windows you could barely hear it. Make it a point to go to the Gilded Unicorn in the basement and the can't miss Steam Plant, which is like nothing you'll ever experience. Neither are cheap, but because they are affiliated the discount on food helps. Free parking behind the hotel the first night and only $10 a night for the next two. Gated parking, two bars/restaurant across the alley with outside seating. Walking distance to everything downtown, so we rarely had to drive. There were several junkies in the area, but most could be pushed over with a finger, so we never felt threatened. We had a great stay and would definitely stay there again.
