"I chose this place because it was "reasonably priced" for the area and had excellent reviews. I would not stay here, again, however. The toilet had feces along the rim when I checked in and there were smudges of dirt on the door and door frame of the bathroom which created serious questions as to how well the rest of the place had been cleaned. Once I got to bed, the refrigerator compressor began making a loud screeching noise that went on periodically throughout the night. Fortunately, I had ear plugs, as I did not want to change rooms in the middle of the night. I informed the front desk staff at checkout, including showing them a video with the loud screeching. They apologized but did not offer to provide any compensation for the disturbance. The place is not terrible, and if it is the only thing in your budget or you can't find somewhere else, go ahead. Otherwise, I advise finding another location while visiting Birmingham. Thanks, Michael"
