Enjoyable stay

We had a nice stay. Loved arriving and the little boat over to the hotel. The floor of our room was wet when we first walked in so we had to get someone to come and dry it. The pool was nice with good views. Breakfast had a pretty good selection. The staff were friendly. It was probably a little more expensive than what it was worth but we enjoyed our night there.

This resort is ok. Nothing more nothing less. First off you have to take a less than minute boat ride which is not so safe for children in my opinion. No safety or life jackets reassurance. Secondly, the rooms in the resort are nice especially double king room, however, all the furniture and sinks or fixtures have ants coming out like crazy. Which makes the cleanliness poor. I had to keep killing them and complained to have it taken care of but I don’t think it was. Third , this resort is extremely boring! There is no daily entertainment from staff or events. No pool slide, life jackets or toys for children. Only one mediocre restaurant which also has very poor slow service. Breakfast was very disappointing! The same foods were put out daily, presentation was very poor. And pancakes waffles were always cold. The fruit over ripe or too sour. Yuck. Absolutely nothing special and waste of money spending at this resort in my opinion. Can’t even swim on property by the beach.. I wouldn’t recommend more than a night here if you absolutely need to stay in Nadi.

This resort and room were very nice, maybe a little pricy at $530 per night for 2 adults and one 13 year old.The staff were very professional and the service was mostly excellent, but staff were overworked at peak meal times. Breakfast pricing could be more flexible. The fixed price of just under A$30 makes the cost of breakfast for an early teenage girl, or small eaters, expensive. $30 for a piece of toast with peanut butter and a cup of coffee ! The Oolala cruise was exceptionally good with the tour guide being very knowledgeable and most entertaining. Please pass on our compliments to him. Also please pass on my thanks and compliments to the staff member managing the children’s horse riding. our daughter absolutely loved that experience. Overall a most enjoyable holiday.

Room was very basic apart from being a bugliw there wasnt anything else to it. Food was so bad on burger night there were no patties upon waiting for so long towards the end the chef brought some limited stuff to us. Chicken smelled ; eggs smelled. Apart from living on chicken nuggets and chips there wasnt anything to eat. Quite literally. Try asking them for Fresh towels and water. Its all a lie. Dont go here.

Staff overall were good pleasant and welcoming ,value for money was a let down . Food and drinks expensive and food was well below a perceived standard. Waiting over 1-1/2 hrs for a meal the 1st night .The second night the meal was almost inedible ,sparking water was straight out of the tap.We moved past these issues and enjoyed our stay because this was a well deserved trip ,with the wife completing chemo treatment. But value for money and getting what you pay for wasn’t factored in the equation.Thanks to the staff for their efforts they made the trip , but management need to take a close look at there performance and what is offered to guests - not to the standard expected . Enjoyed the trip but wont return to fiji again value for money and quality leave alit to be desired . Kind regards Allan

We absolutely loved our stay at Doubletree. The staff are super friendly, Fijian style. If you’re looking for a place where you’re able to disconnect from everything around you and all the noise without breaking the bank or travelling far this is a place to go. It’s perfect for children. A great place to unwind destress and relax.

Hotel is okay, they have a lot of things to improve. There’s so much potential. We had the one king bed, ocean view bure and was beautiful. The only annoying thing was the AC is not cold and the tables had very bad stains but room was very clean. There’s no fun activities included in the hotel, if you want to do something you have to pay or book a tour. They had an entertainment show on Saturday night and there’s no promo or they don’t tell you at check in so we missed it. The sharing areas are covered in bird poop, extreme!!! There’s only one small pool, not properly cleaned but has a nice view. The beach water there is brown… and you can not swim is just the view. You must book tours and taxis outside of hotel, they are cheaper. Calculating is better to stay at Denarau area because of the expensive taxis we took everyday. There’s no wifi in room, you must pay and is horrible, is better to go to the front counter and there’s free wifi and works better. All the employees were very nice and polite to us, some of them very talkative and wanting to help. Overall will not stay here again, too expensive for what it is.

We checked in at around 6pm after traveling all day. At check-in, I was told by the lady working the front desk that reservations are normally required for the main restaurant but, not for the first day late arrivals like us. However, when we showed at the restaurant around 7pm for dinner… we were told that without a reservation we would have to wait until 8pm to be seated… even though less than 50% of the tables had guests at them. Later in the week we showed up 10-15mins early for a dinner reservation and were told we had to wait until our reservation time to be seated… even though the restaurant was again less than 50% full. The breakfast/dinner buffet was sub-par and the food was generally cold. The room (and the view from the room) was very nice but, a microwave would be very much appreciated. Guest dishes from room service were left in the (outdoor) hall for hours, which attracted cats to the dirty dishes. All-in-all… not the resort experience I had hoped for.

Everything was amazing, cant say anything bad, only no cutlery in room. No shoes as tiles were cold just cant were my canvas in the room. Other resorts property have those things. Excellent stay, would highly recommend. The staff were all incredibly lovely! In particular the hotel manager was so kind and generous, Eka so sweet doing the tie dye tshirts, and the lovely lady I think Mari was her name - the waitress at Tavu grill. They all made our stay wonderful, as well as the everyone else working there. Honestly, it couldn’t have been any nicer. Will be back
