"We’ve been staying here for the past four years and always enjoy our visits. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The main reason we love this hotel is its convenient central location—it’s close to everything! Ice cream shops, restaurants, and coffee shops are all within walking distance. The drive to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge for beach access is only a few minutes away."

"We've been coming to Chincoteague for years and have stayed in quite a few places here over time. Sunrise is genuinely one of our favorites, and we don't say that lightly. We arrived on a Sunday with the office closed and half-expected the check-in process to be a headache, but it was completely smooth and the hosts were easy to reach throughout the whole trip though we had no reason to. The house itself was spotless when we walked in, beautifully stocked for cooking, and had this really warm, nostalgic atmosphere that's hard to manufacture but immediately noticeable when it's real. The wood-burning stove, the incredible surfboard picnic table on the main deck, the screened gazebo with its fresh new screens and extra seating, all of it just felt considered and cared for in a way that made a real difference. And the view is something we are still talking about. Oyster Bay right out front, Morris Island and Assateague stretching across the water, a steady flow of birds and boats, and that constant background sound of the water that just quietly works on you until you realize your shoulders have dropped and you've been sitting outside for three hours without noticing. Every moment we weren't out exploring town or walking the Assateague shore, we were back outside. We genuinely didn't want to be anywhere else. This place has a lot of heart and it shows. We're already hoping to make it back next year."

"The kitchen was well stocked & had everything you would need. The place was beautiful & it was so relaxing to sit out on the deck in very comfortable chairs and watch the water & stars at night. There was a problem with the A/C when we checked in but we received an instant response when we notified them and a technician came out and replaced a part so it was up and running again in no time. Customer service was excellent. There was only 1 pack ‘n play but we only needed one so that worked out fine for us. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"Wildcat haven is the place to come, relax and enjoy Chincoteague. The location is wonderful - private. It is on the Chincoteague bay with a private dock and fabulous sunsets that never disappoint.The house is relatively new, clean, comfortable and very well-appointed. They have thought of everything and provide it for you. The house design is wonderful - each bedroom has a full bathroom en-suite. There is a 2 story screened deck on the back and several decks on the front. Plenty of great deck furniture. The main kitchen is huge as is the great room. There are numerous places to get away from the group and sit on your own if you wish - as well as a huge sofa to be together."
