Two issues marred an otherwise fine stay: it isn't truly pet-friendly, and the beds were miserable.The property is advertised as pet-friendly but isn't. The side yards are only about five feet wide. On the entry side, a deck and bench run along a fence at the property line, behind which lives an aggressive dog (the hosts posted a warning not to put fingers through the fence). Any moderate-sized dog could jump the bench into that neighbor's yard. Normally I'd call this outside the host's control, but property records show a family relationship between the two owners. There's also nowhere for dogs to relieve themselves or exercise. The designated side yard was overgrown with 4-5 foot weeds on arrival and is too narrow to spread your arms. Bring dogs and expect to walk them around the neighborhood and keep tight control in the yard.The beds were the bigger problem. We tried all of them (except the murphy) and found them overly firm, overly hot, cheap memory-foam types. They were bad enough that we packed up and drove home the night after our event rather than spend another night in misery.On the positives: the location was excellent, the home and property were clean, and checkout was simpler than usual. The primary kitchen was adequately if sparsely outfitted; the faucet was damaged but usable. Hot water was in short supply, running out after two showers.
