So, some people called this rustic. This place is a two mile drive from the NE gate into Yellowstone. Our room had a bed, one end table, a chair, and a tiny, two drawer dresser. One command hook on the back of the door was the only place to hang anything, we had to use the towel rack in the bathroom to hang up our clothing. The bed frame was bolted together with extra lumber that extended past the mattress, causing a trip/toe stubbing hazzard. No housekeeping for the four nights we stayed, not even trash removal. I kept asking for clean towels, which were provided, but no one ever came to remove the used ones. The staff were very nice and friendly, but focused on doing small repairs to their "office". The property will need a lot more repairs before it becomes rustic. The location might be great, but we have never stayed at such a sad motel. Do not believe the property photos or description.

This was a very cute cabin and unique experience. The cabin was as described. It’s very small but includes a shower which a lot of cabins do not. Nice hot water! Owner gave great food recommendations. Check in and out was as simple as walking into the cabin and out. Owner provided a nice fire with s’mores. Very cute town next to the northeast gate.

Simple, rustic, charming. Staff was very friendly, and room was spacious. We'd stay again. Beware that food options in Silver Gate are very limited, the General Store is not a supermarket (check expiration dates!). I read about this and still didn't "get it" - do purchase your food/snacks at the supermarket in Bozeman before getting to Silver Gate. Some foods are marked up 3x more here (large bag of chip were $8). Also, our bathroom's window was painted shut so we couldn't open it - call in advance to ask about the window in Room 9. They're aware and said they'll take care of it.

I don't know who has been giving this place such high scores. I would never recommend staying here. My room was supposed to have a fridge and microwave. It didnt. It was supposed to have a desk, something to work or eat at. It didn't. It also did not have anywhere to hang any clothes. The lodge also had no ice. The whole property looked run down and there was construction going on. Yet, they charge $175 per night. I have stayed at Motel 6s that were better than this, at half the price. The only reason i even gave it a 2 was because the bed was comfortable.

Fantastic place

We had cabin 13. Very cute, rustic, private and yes with back porch that over looks the stream. Checking and out and in was very easy. This is a very simple place with comfort. It’s was clamping but with a cabin.

One overnight stay as part of a Yellowstone trip. Staff was very friendly and had lots of information about the area. Room was clean and had fridge, microwave, coffee maker and dishes. Needs a new mattress. Chairs on the porch were nice to relax and have a drink. Several restaurants within walking distance, and more a short drive away. Very pleasant

Grizzly lodge was like a wooden haven in the wild,except its just off the main rd from the Yellowstone entrance. Very close to everything, we had a 2 room cabin, serviced us well, we lost power the next morning but the whole town did, great stay.

Worst lodging ever! Property itself was trash, coupled with a dirty room. Blanket had horrible odor, No ice, and no place to unpack. Dirty shower and no covering over “light bulb” light fixture.

Great place to stay

This is a great place to stay. It’s a rustic motel with everything that you could need. It’s kind of in a wilderness setting with some of the best scenery in the world. Close to Yellowstone, you can ride the Beartooth highway or chief Joseph Highway for some of the most awesome scenery in the area. I highly recommend this lodge.

Jay was awesome during the check-in and with anything else we needed. Very cute rooms. They have a campfire at night for all tenants. We enjoyed our stay, would stay here again and highly recommend Grizzly Lodge!
