The location is great - just as described. It was very clean. We enjoyed our time in Siesta Key - it is a cute "village" - we really enjoyed being so close! One thing to note is that the aerial photo (with house circled) led me to believe that we would be able to see the water from the upper floor windows - however the unit is only the front part of the house - facing the street. The water is visible just a little bit from a certain angle in the primary bedroom. The amenities we appreciated were the channels on the TV. Great to watch movies and the Super Bowl! Note also that the grill is not a gas grill. We did not use any of the beach gear as it was not the season yet. Bring some laundry & dw pods from home as it was annoying to have to buy that after we used up the 2 or 3 they provided. Same with tp and paper towel - but you probably wouldn't travel with that!

Great location. About 150 yards to the beach. Place is spacious, lots of room for a family of 4. We would stay again. Only negatives would be master shower is really small, lots of stairs, and 10am check out is a bit early.

Great stay during Christmas!

The house was very spacious and clean and was very close to the Suesta Village. Walking distance to the beautiful beach anf restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Overall great property. Great location. Updates are nice. Working Elevator, which was helpful for groceries, etc. Only negative would be that there are no curtains/blinds in the living room/main floor area so the next door neighbors could look directly into our house. PS - Water pressure in the master bedroom shower was awesome.

Unexpected events

beautiful condo but really noisy from the cars on the street. And the elevator/ dumb waiter was not working. The beach is very nice but the walk to it was long and tiring but the did provide us with nice beach chairs and buggy to get things to it.

Not the best location for older group

Ascendia management company wasn't on the ball, for example: received an email addressed to someone else to confirm my stay....confusion about check-in time....confusion about date of check out (cleaning people sent one day early). Rental should come with disclaimer regarding stairs (3 flights) when elevator is not operating (wasn't during our stay). This made it difficult to get luggage to 3rd floor bedrooms. Also, one of my party misjudged the top step and injured her rib to prevent herself from falling. House does not come with a blender. Location is noisy (street traffic) and the air conditioning unit is located right next to the out door porch (destroys ambiance). Beds were comfortable, requested additional towels were provided, water pressure was adequate, quick walk into Siesta Key Village.

Not As Advertised

A good thing: Nice location: beach access, walking distance to Siesta Village, free Trolly transportation available. Beds were very comfortable. Not so good things: Gas grill did not get hot enough to cook food. Kitchen not adequately equipped: no standard coffee pot, not enough utensils for in-house cooking. Only four beach chairs, and an umbrella would have been nice. No exhaustfan in bathroom. Our group had two vehicles, but only one garage space available, and we found off-road space to be too tight for two. Unacceptable things: Table and chairs in dining nook were not as pictured, instead they were high, difficult to use and were too big for the space. Two calls were made to property management, one regarding wi-fi and the other regarding squeaky dryer, and neither call was ever returned. An elevator was advertised, but sign on elevator door said "DO NOT USE". Thus luggage, etc. had to be carried three flights. We found the steps themselves dangerous, and two people in our group missed a step and fell. The clothes dryer "screeched, screeched, screeched" loudly with each turn of the drum, and a light load of clothes took hours to dry. The first shower taken in the bathroom resulted in a slow water drain out---so water stood there quite awhile before emptying, and this was always the case thereafter. Summany: We (not one of the six in our group) would never consider staying there again. Tip: Please update your ad to correctly reflect amenities.
