Cute & Cozy Tiny House in the Woods

Tucked in the peaceful, woodsy Lost Lake area, our modern tiny house offers the perfect mix of seclusion and adventure. Just a short walk (under ½ mile!) to the stunning Lost Lake trailhead—a favorite for hikers and mountain bikers—you’ll be surrounded by tall trees and fresh mountain air. Though it feels like a retreat, you're only 4 miles from the harbor and 5 miles from downtown Seward.

Our tiny house is a one-of-a-kind, cozy retreat designed for comfort and simplicity. Newly remodeled, it features a beautiful tile shower with a rainfall showerhead—bringing a touch of luxury to your stay in the woods. The bunk setup includes a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin on top, sleeping up to 3 guests. While we welcome small groups, the space is best enjoyed by 2 adults or 2 adults and a child for maximum comfort.

The well-equipped kitchenette includes a stove, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and all the basic cookware and utensils you’ll need for easy meals.

We use a high-quality composting toilet that works much like a regular one—just with a small twist: everyone sits, every time. It’s clean, eco-friendly, and easy to use.

A wall heater keeps the space warm and comfortable, no matter the season. Outside, you’ll find a private firepit, perfect for unwinding under the trees and enjoying quiet evenings by the flames.

Also feel free to bring your pup - we are pet friendly!

This cozy hideaway is the perfect base for your Alaskan adventure!

Please note: we do not allow tents, RVs, sleeper vans, or additional guests staying outside the tiny house.

Quite and peaceful

My friend and I enjoyed our stay! Just outside of town, so peaceful and quiet in the woods. The fire pit was a great addition to our quiet evenings. Check in was super easy and the cabin had everything we needed for our trip.

The bed needs major upgrading as the metal bunks are extremely noisy and sway into the wall as you climb up if you're not careful. Other than that, exactly as described, quiet and enough amenities to live comfortably. And seeing the resident mama moose and twins was a big bonus. Thank you again!

What an excellent place to stay! The owners are great at communicating. Their guest instructions are easy to understand and explain the uniqueness of the property. My family loved the stay. It is small and that is great just. After three days of camping this was a welcome and cozy environment with a hot shower and comfortable beds. Many attributes and amenities to help you in the kitchen area. I would absolutely recommend this as a great place to stay in Seward.

Adequate

Our stay was fine, but for what this costs I would just as soon have gotten a hotel room.

This tiny house provides guests with a true remote Alaska experience in the forest. Close to Seward (3 miles) but away from populated areas, we enjoyed the privacy and remote feel. The hosts were responsive to our questions and requests. The top bunk bed can be difficult for older people to get up to but is great for younger adults and children. The composting toilet works well. We would stay there again.

Nice quiet area to overnight for fishing

We rented this place for a night to get up and charter fish early the next day. It had all of the basic amenities for ‘glamping’ and nestled in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed being able to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle for the holiday. It is close to lost lake trailhead and we were able to walk there to do some hiking as well. The campfire pit and chairs were great and it was nice to do a breakfast early the next morning inside.

Fun stay just north of Seward. Easy drive into town, out of the fray when there. Cozy for two. Might be a little crowded for three. Good communication with host. Fun.

Great stay…a super cute tiny home!

My husband and I traveled down to Seward for a weekend getaway and found this adorable place to stay. It’s just outside of the city but SUPER easy to get back to all the shops. VERY quiet and well thought out. It has everything anyone would need. Nice shower, TV, three places to sleep and great views of the foliage. Overall, we would stay here again. Sara was fantastic and all the info was on time and correct for check in and check out was a breeze and she responded quickly. This is the way to go if you are staying in Seward!

Nice tiny house

Nice tiny house close to Seward (just a small drive away from downtown). We really appreciated they accept pets for a small fee. Only downside was a smoker had been in the Apt before us, and our clothes/belongings smelled of smoke for two days after.

Wonderful, cozy little cabin in the woods away from all the tourism. I loved it and highly recommend

I so appreciate a place that allowed our 2 dogs. It is impossible to find a place that takes pets, yet it is spotless clean and neat. Easy, convenient parking. I only wished we had booked for more nights in this place only a few miles outside of Seward, yet totally in the woods away from everything. I loved it.
