I love to stay at the Iron Horse. My only issue was we couldn't find a setting for the heat/ac that didn't make it cycle on and off every couple minutes. Seemed to blow warm then cool on and off all night. It was loud and not ideal. I have not had that issue before and otherwise I absolutely love this Inn.

We thank you for choosing our hotel and we appreciate your feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience you had with the heat/ac. Our units are equipped with electronic controls that give precise control of temperature so if the room temperature drops the heat/ac will come on to keep the temperature it's set to. We will definitely have the unit looked at and make any improvements if needed. We hope you give us a second chance to make up for your unpleasant stay. We all here wish you a wonderful day!

Historic Hotel on original Main Street

Nice room, ground level rooms were originally car garages. Lower garages were converted to rooms in late 1960s and are a bit small but functional. All rooms have/are being renovated now and they are doing a wonderful job with keeping to the decor. Loved the patio area, sat out there drinking wine/coffee and played board games. Great location! We really enjoyed our stay, would liked to have stayed longer. .and hope to visit again.

Pros: The courtyard the ambiance as it just felt relaxing.
Cons: Get rid of the lamps on the bed tables, they took up room and awkward.Use pucks instead by the headboard as there was plenty of overhead lighting.
Location: Sedona and Jerome 20 minutes away, Wine tasting up and down the streets with restaurants for everyone's budget or taste.
This hotel is a gem with the well maintained courtyard to the details in the newly remodeled rooms. The staff were all friendly and eager to assist you. I enjoyed being able to sit in the courtyard to read a book or just relax with some local wine. Though some of the arrangements are quirky; if you get a twin make sure you do not have a lot of stuff as they are small rooms mainly up narrow stairway, though are quite comfortable. I would stay in the bottom rooms if you have a hard time with stairs. The parking is in the back and open to the public but close to the hotel.

Pros: The location!
Cons: The steps to the 2nd floor are steep.
Location: Cottonwood was a wonderful experience! We stayed there while visiting Sedona (about 20 minutes away), but it was an experience in itself!
The town of old town Cottonwood was wonderful! We had a pleasant stay visiting the small town, and the room was clean and comfortable! Wish we could have stayed more than one night, as the courtyard was perfect for just hanging out in the evening! Would definitely go back!!!

Nice hotel in the middle of everything

We had a great stay at this hotel. It is in walking distance to many tasting rooms and restaurants in old town Cottonwood. The rooms have been recently updated and are super comfortable and clean. The hotel dates back to 1930 and is full of old charm. Hotel staff was great. We already have plans to come back to this hotel.

Wonderful Stay!

The iron Horse Inn was great. The location is perfect. It is right in historic downtown Cottonwood. The gal on duty was the best greeter we ever had. The amenities too, they have Starbucks coffee and fruit. They did a terrific job remodeling the hotel. It was one of the cleanest hotels we ever stayed at.

Lovely hotel 20+ miles away from Sedona

Pros: Spotless, renovated with an old town feel.
Cons: Great unless you're looking to be in Sedona and not wanting to drive far. There's a bus that goes between the two towns, unsure of schedule.
Location: Incredible hiking trails in Sedona (Water sports on the river, shopping, yoga and amazing places to eat.
The room was spotless and overall accommodations lovely. The court yard gave it a community feel which also limited privacy. Quaint main street with modern restaurants having top notch food and diverse menus and also great shopping... A yoga studio directly across the street provides a great opportunity to keep up on exercise. The ONLY issue is the remote location and 20+ mile drive into Sedona. Well worth the money and a great town to visit.
