Nice hotel, nice amenities, friendly and capable staff. 24/7 valet parking and round-the-clock shuttles to nearby restaurants and attractions. Salt Rock Restaurant is very good. Water took a while to get hot at our bathroom, but ran just fine once it did arrive.

I was disappointed in our hotel. The photos were definitely more pleasing than the actual hotel. The pool was minuscule, there was no bar at the pool (at least, it was never set up), there was a handful of lounge chairs and most were broken. This is a hotel, not a resort.

Wonderful stay!

Pros: View, staff, pool area, balcony view from room, restaurant, customer service - all of it!
Cons: Don't visit in June - record heat!
Location: My daughter and I took a tour of the Grand Canyon one day, we hiked The Devil's Bridge, we shopped and boy did we eat!
The whole experience at the Amara was wonderful. Yes, the room, the staff and service were great, but it's the view and overall indulgent feel that was so special. The food at their Saltwater restaurant was delicious. Their shuttle service to Sedona was timely and so convenient. Had a wonderful stay there.

Thank you, Deanna! That heat wave was certainly a little tough to deal with... but, hey... that's what the pool is for! Thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again during some cooler temps. =)

Beautiful hotel right in town

Pros: It was the little touch's that made the difference. They had a complimentary coffee set-up in the lobby that was ready every morning by 4:30am.
Cons: Bathroom is a bit small with very little counter space for your toiletries.
Location: The location was key - right in town within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping, jeep tours and various massage places.
Everything was best in class from the overall service, the staff, the food, the spa, the location...we could not have had a more enjoyable experience. The spa treatments were amazing. We enjoyed complimentary yoga classes every morning, along with a complimentary happy hour each evening! The staff bent over backwards to accommodate any request and were extremely nice. The pool is in a beautiful setting overlooking a creek/river. The grounds are well keep and the hotel was very clean. The restaurant was great and we had an amazing breakfast every morning outside on the patio with quick service.

Ah, parking. Our resort fee is designed to include overnight valet parking for our guests' benefit. Our property is located at the bottom of hill -- and valet allows much more convenient access to your vehicle at anytime. We hope that helps any future travelers!

Great Views and Food!

I love Kimpton hotels and the high level of services they provide.  I was in Sedona for a whirlwind tour and had my schedule jamb packed.  The food at their restaurant is fabulous.  I ate here for dinner (Kobe burger), breakfast and lunch (Au jus) and the views from the outdoor patio are stunning. Having said that, upon arrival they were short staffed at the check-in desk and after I had already began my check-in process she took a phone call and I waited and waited.  Finally someone else came from the back room and I started over with him.  The other thing is the rooms are fairly small.  I had a room with (2) queen beds and it was tight.

Great Customer Service

Everywhere my son and I went, we were always greeted. I like the quietness of this place. They had live music Friday and Saturday night and the gas fireplaces were burning.

Gorgeous Property!!

This is by far, the nicest hotel I've stayed at!  Not only are the grounds incredibly gorgeous (and look exactly as their website photos), but the rooms are just as nice and the service was outstanding!  They have more than enough employees floating around to valet, deliver room service, and to meet any request.  Same with the restaurant...plenty of servers and the every time I ate there, which was often, my food was out to me in less than 10-15 minutes of ordering it.  They make it their priority to give great, fast service.  Also, they have live music several nights a week!  Make sure to check out Anthony Mazzella on Fridays and Saturdays...amazing! I always am afraid that a hotel won't live up to the pictures online but this one does!  I will be going to Sedona again soon and won't even consider another hotel! Most of all, it's a gorgeous hotel!

Amara Resort and Spa

Great location and a beautiful resort.......the only drawback is walking up the hill from the resort to the street.  You better be in good shape, but they do have shuttle service.
