Unexpected surprise.

During the check-in, we were informed of the need for a card on file for incidentals. Not a big deal the charge is usually something reasonable. This place it is 300 reals per night per person charged up front. For my two night stay it was a 1200 reals authorization on my card. It was almost as much as I paid for the two night stay. This was not made clear at the time of the booking. I did receive and email that a charge of up to one nights stay may be needed, but no mention was made of a per person per night stay. Rest of the stay was ok. Breakfast was outstanding, the room was clean, and housekeeping was spot on. Saying that the light switch’s are super confusing and not the easiest to operate.

Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommended! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. Nicely refurbished property, but let down by the service, bearing in mind this hotel costs double similarly nice hotels in the local area. I arrived early from an overnight flight, and enquired about early check in (having been told this was an option they offer), but the front desk person simply shrugged and bluntly stated check in was 2pm. No attempt to check if a room was available earlier. The following morning I tried to get access to the pool at 6am as advertised. Went to front desk and was laughed at, the reply being the pool opened at 8am. Even at 8am I had to get someone to begrudgingly go and unlock it. Avoid this hotel if you want service/facilities that match the price

I just want to express how pleased I was with my stay here. Before I even arrived, Alice effortlessly arranged for pickup from the airport for me and left me a nice little chocolate treat in my room upon arrival. Marcos the bellman was sweet and very helpful as well. All in all, a very pleasant experience. My only gripe (its an important one) was that they initially placed me in a room in an isolated corner near a stairwell,housekeeping closet & a strange LOUD humming noise. Also, the room phone didn't work.But as soon as I raised concerns, Marcos (bellman) personally went downstairs and got me a key for a better room. I am a happy girl!
