We chose this hotel for our vacation and were very disappointed. We checked in on 8/2/2025, an hour earlier than the check-in time of 4:00 p.m., and were told our room wasn't ready. Not even 5 minutes had gone by, and suddenly, our room was ready. We go to our room, and I go to use the restroom, and it smells like pee. There is even a dry pee line going down the front bottom of the toilet.
As I went to lie on the bed, I saw a hair on the pillow. I decided to check the entire bed, and lo and behold, there were more hairs on the sheets and way down inside the bedsheets as well. I called the front desk and told them our room had not been cleaned. I asked to speak to the manager, and the FD Supervisor said the manager was not in and would not be in until Monday. I spoke to the manager on Tuesday, and she apologized and said she would give me a 15% - 20% discount on our next visit. She said that she couldn't give me a discount for my stay because it was prepaid through a third-party app, which was Travelocity. My husband and I talked and thought that maybe we could get a free one-night stay to have another good weather day at the beach. It was raining, and the water had been full of seagrass for our entire stay except for the day before we were going to leave and the next day as well, according to the news. The manager would only give us a 15% discount on one night's stay and we would still have to pay an extra $200. So disappointed in the efforts to right a wrong.
