Barrio Escalante is a very walkable neighbourhood — most restaurants, cafés, and shops are just a few minutes away on foot. For longer trips, it’s easy to catch an Uber or taxi, and public buses run frequently to downtown San José and nearby areas. The city’s local train also connects to a few neighbouring towns, though most visitors find ride-shares and buses more convenient. If you’re driving, there’s convenient parking available at an additional cost. Many guests choose to explore on foot or by ride-share since everything is so close and well-connected. The Interbus shuttle office is located very close to the building and they offer shuttle service to many Costa Rican destinations including Nicaragua.
