This is a budget hotel near the train station which is why we booked it. However, to walk to downtown area, you'll have to go through some sketchy area with homeless encampments. The staffing here was very inadequate. Check in and check out was very slow. The tall blonde receptionist was rude and snappy when we checked in. After check out, we ask them to hold our luggages since our train did not leave until 5PM. We came back at 4:30 to collect the luggages and there were only 1 gentleman working at the reception and over 20 people waiting to check in. We had to ask if there were someone else to help us get our luggages, one girl came out from the back to help but made remarks that "i don't work reception". The room was nice and clean but the bathroom does not have a door, just see through glass so do not book if you travel with family or friends. Only for couples.

This was a very clean and well presented hotel. Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is in an easy 10 minute walking distance of the city centre. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of options and as it is on the 15 floor you have a tremendous view of the whole city. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Property is close to train station and public transport was excellent. Overall it was not the most beautiful area of Salzburg. If you are looking for a charming visit to Salzburg reminding you of Sound of Music then this hotel is probably not for you. However, if you want a bar with a beautiful view of the city then this may be a great fit.

I chose this hotel for the simple reason that it was right next to the Salzburg central train station. Plenty of bus lines that will take you everywhere, but do take the bus. Salzburg is a small town, but the hotel is a bit out of way from the central town where all the tourist sights and restaurants are located. Hotel itself was fine. Room was clean and quiet with a nice bed and shower.
