Booked and had a 3pm check in but waited almost an hour and was told later that my check in was supposed to be at 4 when confirmation showed 3pm. They then had my card in hand but attempted a different card more than a dozen times with charges at 2x what the room cost was. Once that was resolved I got two different knocks on the door to see if someone was in the room by different people. The reason I booked here was for the pool and hot tub which were not available. When I reached out to windham they made it sound like these were my issues and not issues of the hotel. Will never stay here again. Should mention all people checking in had these same issues.

4 night stay for baseball tournament

We were a little hesitant to book a room because of the negative reviews, but went ahead with it because the photos looked good. Yes, the hotel is undergoing renovation, and that should be mentioned on Expedia. We had no trouble finding the temporary entrance, the staff was friendly and courteous. Our room and bathroom were very clean, the bed comfortable. We were given fresh towels and toiletries every day. We had no issues whatsoever with the construction, and will absolutely stay here again in the future.

Disappointing stop on our way to outer banks. Though our room was newly renovated, it only had two bath towels, the TV didn’t work and after three trips to the desk the manager said I wish I had a different room to give you but I don’t.

We did not know this property was under construction. There was no access to the pool or game room. There was no sofa bed as advertised. The breakfast was undesirable, at best! Booking through a third party did not provide the updated info on the property which was highly disappointing. The room is spacious and staff was nice but the property as advertised vs what we got was disappointing.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Completely under Renovation. Pool, Bar, and Fitness center were CLOSED. Hotels.com did NOT disclose that information and charged us the same for a room with all these amenities. The main lobby was closed and you had to enter through a side door. The parking lot was filled with people, CONSTANTLY and felt unsafe leaving my car in the parking lot. The breakfast was a JOKE, some guest room converted to a breakfast cafe and it was extremely limited. My room was covered in painters tape and smelled like a freshly painted room. The door did not shut all the way and we had to prop something up against it so it seemed shut from the outside. The TV didn’t work and there was no phone to call the front desk, had to ride these sketchy carved elevators. The place is straight in the Ghetto.This whole place was a joke and the pictures online are extremely deceiving. Save your money and go somewhere else, even a Motel 6 is better than this. The staff were very nice as they understood why we were upset, but gave us no discount or anything. JOKE.

The property is undergoing renovation so the lobby has been moved to a temporary location. The staff was helpful and professional the hallways clean and our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was in a converted room since the renovation is in progress. The food was “free breakfast” standard fare with scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, coffee and fruits and yoghurt. Some people might find the renovation process an issue but we were perfectly comfortable.

What I did like was John at the front desk was a very kind on the phone and in person. The the amount of space we had for a double bed accesible walker/wheelchair was excellent! Dislike, the room had ants, they did vacuum the carpet, & property is still under construction.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected. One of the main issues was the lack of clear communication regarding ongoing renovations. At no point during the booking process or prior to check-in was I informed that the property was undergoing significant construction. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find common areas closed off, and limited access to advertised amenities like the fitness center and lounge, and bar. While I understand that renovations are sometimes necessary, guests deserve to know in advance so they can make an informed decision — especially when paying full price. Had I been made aware, I may have chosen different accommodations or adjusted my expectations. Transparency is key in hospitality, and unfortunately, that was lacking here. I hope the hotel will improve its communication moving forward, as this really impacted the quality of my stay. I look forward to hearing from the hotel or Expedia about the price I paid for this hotel
