After c 30 years of holiday rentals in St Jean & France , this property was disappointing.
Overall, I would not dissuade anyone from renting the property but it did not live up to the glowing reports we based our decision on when we booked & accordingly we were disappointed. The property is in a traditional style, some areas would benefit from improvement as they are clearly worn. The main issue was that the entire house smelt very musty and this was very strong given the intense heat. Opening all windows doors etc obviously helped, the smell reduced but did not go entirely throughout our stay. If not in use the property would benefit from frequent airing. We considered rejecting the booking as unacceptable, in view of the strong pervasive smell, but after having driven c. 800kms we considered this impracticable in view of guests arriving shortly & also the manner of the host, who did not present a warm welcome at our arrival.

Maison calme et très bien située
Maison située dans un quartier résidentiel très calme. En un quart d’heure à pied nous nous trouvions au coeur de Saint-Jean-de-Luz ou sur la plage, un point non négligeable, se garer en ville étant très difficile. Nous avons bien profité du jardin avec sa grande table et ses chaises longues. Les pièces de la maison sont spacieuses et lumineuses, équipées de vieux meubles de famille. On y perçoit un peu de leur histoire. En contrepartie nous avons eu quelques surprises par le côté vétuste de certains équipements. Le propriétaire était très sympathique et très aidant. Dans l’ensemble nous avons été très contents de notre séjour.

Maison très agréable , très bien située à Saint Jean de Luz dans un quartier calme proche du centre et de la grande plage . La maison était très propre à notre arrivée , très confortable avec un magnifique jardin . Notre hôte était charmant et nous a donné de bons conseils pour notre séjour . A recommander !

Proximité de la plage et au calme
Maison agréable avec deux terrasses pour le matin et pour le soir, très appréciable! Belle vue sur quartier résidentiel calme A un quart d’heure à pied de la plage, de quoi passer de bons moments sans avoir besoin au quotidien de la voiture.

Belle maison proche de la plage
Superbe séjour à saint jean de luz. La maison est bien équipée et très confortable pour deux familles avec enfants. Proche de la plage à pied (15 min max) et au calme.

Jolie maison, bien placée avec un jardin bien entretenu. Nous avons apprécié le bon accueil des propriétaires et nous nous sommes senti comme chez nous. Avec un peu de rafraîchissement, l’intérieur pourrait être encore plus agréable.
