With only 4 or 5 vehicles and a dump truck full of chert (to repair the potholes) passing by the cottage the entire 8 days we visited! The owner went above and beyond with her charming details - local art on the walls, shelves stocked with books, board games and dvds for rainy days. A closet full of fresh linens, beach towels, water toys, a well stocked kitchen with many essentials and modern conveniences. I cant say enouch about this beautiful little escape! "Stop looking for the perfect place to stay in Great Exuma - you just found it! This is a quiet, semi-private location right on the bay, with an incredible view of Moriah Harbour Cay, and in close proximity to Man-O-War Cay. We knew we picked the right spot the moment we pulled up the driveway and saw the incredible view! The villa was immaculately clean and very welcoming. The moment you step onto the back patio you are in paradise. A short walk through the yard and you arrive at a gazebo and sundeck right at the water's edge. This provides incredible photo opportunities, direct access to the water via a ladder right off the deck, and the most stunning crystal blue water you’ve ever seen. One of the locals said it looks like Windex – and they are exactly right! Right off the deck, we saw a shark, a turtle and sting rays. We also saw a few dolphins in the bay from the back yard. The provided kayaks make it easy to explore the sandbar right across the channel. We even hiked over the dune to Moriah Harbor (bring closed toed shoes). The entire space is relaxing and provides an environment for you to unwind or be as active as you want. We kept saying how incredibly gorgeous the view was and that our pictures don't do it justice! On our next trip to Exuma, we will definitely be staying here again.Charlie was the best host: responsive, helpful, has rental cars, and a 15-foot Boston Whaler available for rent. We took the boat for two days and it was perfect for our family of 4. "

"My husband and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful location. It was private and incredibly peaceful. We enjoyed kayaking almost every day, and we saw tons of wildlife. Valerie was by far the best host we have ever stayed with. We stayed for two weeks and we could have stayed for two more. If you are looking for privacy in paradise, this is your place. "

"This property wasn’t even on my radar as my searches only include homes with private pools. But since FB spies on my searches, this place popped up in my feed and it looked like everything we were looking for, just without the pool. So, I went ahead and booked it, and it was a great decision! The home itself is wonderful and very functional. The a/c works great which is a must for me and the home had everything we needed for our stay. The view from inside and from the upper deck is breath taking. But the little beach and the water......I love the ocean but it's a little intimidating for me normally. The depth of the water and the clear blue color here was perfect for someone like me. We made great use of the kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. We saw a sting ray, a few fish and saved a starfish that had gotten up too high on the beach. The lounging area on the beach is also perfect for tanning all day long if that's your thing. We enjoyed the relaxation and space here so much that the only place we went was to the grocery store. That's really unusual for us as we like to explore, but we just didn't feel the need to go find other beautiful places while we were sitting at a beautiful place already. The roads are pretty rough, but we wasted money on a jeep since we didn't use it much and a car will make it just fine with some skilled driving, so keep that in mind when pricing rentals. "This house was perfect for our family. It had EVERYTHING that we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked including a water dispenser with enough 5 gallon water bottles for our entire stay. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers which we used many times a day. The living room has comfortable furniture which gave our family a nice place to hang out. The best part of the house is the pool area and beach area. We spent most of our days in the pool and on the beach. We snorkled and kayaked right off the beach and saw turtles, lots of colored fish, starfish, conchs and even a few sharks. It was amazing! We also enjoyed having a few chefs come to the house and cook for us and a wonderful trip out with Exuma Sports for a 1/2 day trip to the remote islands. This was a fun and memorable trip for our family."
