Fairmont Dallas
"The hotel room was clean and they made the bed and changed the towels every day. The hotel itself is located in a very central spot downtown Dallas with easy access to the highway. The food and mini bar are definitely way too expensive and not offering free WiFi is also unheard of. The staff was friendly however, their valet parking price of almost $70 per night is ridiculous. We asked the concierge about alternative parking options close by and basically were told to look up the area but there weren’t many spots. Coming to find out that there is a parking lot right around the corner that offers parking for $20 a day and there is street parking right in front of the hotel and to the side entrance that is for free over night and you only have to pay between normal business hours and the fees are very reasonable. Kind of made us feel like they didn’t want us to know that there are more affordable parking options right around the corner. The pool was cloudy and it didn’t look very well maintained. But all in all a good stay! The Starbucks inside the hotel is definitely a plus but if you want something different there is a nice bistro and cafe called The Heron right behind the hotel that offers delicious coffee and bakery items."
