Great place to stay. I have stayed here a number of times now! Place is convinently located. Close to all the main shoppi g, restaurants and bars. The place is a little tired and run down and beds are a little springy but over all good accommodation. Staff are friendly and wonderful. I will stay here again!

A bit noisy

The room was large, but it came with a couple of dead blowflies. We were told that we had been upgraded. The room was located over the sportsman's bar which just happens to be on the busy intersection where the trucks pull up to the lights and then turn right until late at night. The room was a long way from the entrance to the hotel and the parking for your car which was across the road. This may not have been a problem usually, but 6 weeks post surgery for a knee replacement made it more difficult, especially with a crutch and luggage. The location was good.

At 76 having to climb outdoor old timber stairs when by booking in March I should have been in the main building ( like the rest of my extended family.) Old fixtures… I had to kick my shower door open to exit. Cleanliness was fair. Photos of the Hotels ‘Hayday’ do look ‘GRAND’!

The hotel presented well, however were hosting a function on the same night and the noise that was going through the hotel was so loud, at times the walls felt like they were vibrating. We needed to have the TV almost at the max volume to hear it. The music started at 3pm and didn't finish until 11pm. My husband had gone to complain just before this time and was told they could move us to another room (another guest was also complaining at the same time). Nobody wants to pack up and move rooms at 11pm! My issue is we had initially received a room upgrade from a queen to a quality queen, so why would you move someone closer to the noise. Ideally, it would have been good to inform your guests when checking in that you have a function and noise could be going until a certain time, giving us the opportunity to either put up with the noise or look for another hotel. If there was no function the hotel would have been ok but not being able to sleep after a very long day on the road and needing to leave early in the morning, was not a great experience. I would not recommend this hotel (when travelling to big cities like Hanoi or HCMC, we never experienced the level of noise in your room like this).
