Unfortunately this former gem has now suffered the effects of a tough economy, courtesy of the pandemic. Whereas years ago this used to be a more exclusive hotel, now, in an effort to attract more revenue, the hotel has adopted the initiative to offer timesharing, and in doing so, it has declined in quality and exclusiveness. Won’t be visiting again.

This is not my first stay, so it was kind of dissaponting to : 1. No door lock inside 2. No refrigerator (they brought one afterwards) 3. No one answers at the front desk 4. Bath and hand washer problems with drainage 5. Just 2 big towels.

It was ok. The only thing was that the kids pool was out of service. The kids were playing next to the bar. Also the floor is very slippery. Many kids fell down. Even my 86 year old mother!! Still hurt.

Nice beach hotel but beach not so clean

Everything was great but the cleanliness of the beach was disappointing. We drove from our other resort just to have a beach day and night and we couldn't even gather ourselves to get in such dirty water. And it's not Panama fault because the two beaches to The right near the Decameron resort and another resort close were gorgeous! So please clean the beach and the dogs on the beach were a little scary

Pretty good value

Cons: No free Internet, sub par restaurants
My friend and I just got back, and while there appear to be MANY bad reviews on this resort, we had a great time! The pools were great, swim up bar was great, the beach was great! Some of the lounge chairs need replacing. The rooms were always cleaned very well. The resort staff were not overly friendly, and we had to ask for towels to use in the gym, which was weird. Maybe they have a towel-stealing problem? The beds were really hard, which was not great. The food at the buffet was pretty good. We ate at the two restaurants on site; one a sushi restaurant and the other Thai. Stick with the buffet. The sushi was not very good and the Pad Thai that my friend ordered (which is the only Thai dish in the Thai restaurant) was like beef stroganoff... stick with the buffet. The nightly entertainment was pretty good and was directed at the families that were there. It appeared there were mainly families and couples, so if you are going with single girls/guys, not a lot of mingling. Overall, we had a great time! There was no inappropriate behavior from men or wild dogs mentioned by some crazy reviewers before me... It's definitely not a 5 star all-inclusive, but overall I'd rate it a 3... maybe a 4, just maybe.
