Great place to stay and close to schools
The hotel is great! There is some construction going on for remodel but did not affect our stay at all. The carpet on the 6th floor was new and smelled great. The suites were huge and great for getting ready for Prom that we were there for. Great service, great check-in. We are staying again in May for another event. Highly recommend. The suites are huge if need more room to spread out.

Right off the I-85 exit, I expected a typical interstate ramp hotel with traffic noise and bright lights, but overall was happy with the relative quiet, easy in and out, a restaurant right next door. Staff was very friendly and the location is close to downtown where I attended a concert, so an Uber ride was fast and easy to downtown Durham. Overall a good place to stay in a safe, easily accessible area.

Initially disappointing, average overall.
When we arrived there were renovation signs around - our bathroom smelled like it had a plumbing problem the first night but the next 2 days it was fine. The bed sheets had blood spots on them - they were clean for sure, but...who leaves those in rotation?? Ohterwise the room was clean and breakfast was decent. Location is very good but next time I will stay at a hilton nearby - we will wait for renovations to be over before we try again.
