Of the three places I stayed on my trip to Costa Rica, this was my least favorite. It was fine and served it's purpose as a place to stay and sleep while enjoying the Manuel Antonio and Quepas areas and is pretty close to most things. There are some shops and dining within walking distance but the better options require a drive. The beach and national park are about a 10-15 minute drive. The hotel itself is on a very busy, noisy street. The rooms was a bit old and rundown and smelled very strong like cigarettes. The staff also were not overly friendly or helpful except for the gentlemen in the restaurant who unfortunately I didn't get his name.

one of the male staff which we didnt get the name of him in the reception as we register is not very welcoming. We didnt find him very pleasant as opposed to the other hotel we've been too. The washroom in the room has problem like when you flush the toilet, after few seconds you will hear a very loud sound. Im not sure it might be a pipe problem. Other than that, i found the entire surrounding was well maintained and clean.

Great stay. Beautiful landscape/garden and very friendly service. Relatively quiet and calm. No major „attractions“ nearby, but various restaurants and small shops along the street. Everything else requires a car, Uber, or a <$1 bus ride which was very convenient.

Lovely property to stay on. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious every morning. The pool and social area (Billiards, fooseball) was great for a chill day on-site. Close to good food options and the Manuel Antonio park/beaches. Plus free parking on site for guests. 10/10 recommend.

Everything was perfect! The staff were Amazing. The place was spotless and everyone was so kind and friendly. Our dinner both nights was FANTASTIC!!! We ordered the filet mignon one night and the mango chicken the next night. The chef DID THAT!!! 👏 The room was so beautiful. I really wanted to take the comforter home with me because it was so gorgeous and it helped me sleep like a baby. My daughter and I loved our stay and we highly recommend this beautiful place!

The hotel was fine…everything was as the pictures and staff were great. The room: it was a little smaller than what we expected but not a real issue. It seemed clean but we found 2 cockroaches. The place: We knew the property was in front of the main road but did not expect it to be as noisy as it was. If you are a light sleeper, maybe this is not the best place to stay. The garage: Finally, we saw as a great plus that the place had its own gated parking, but when we arrived, someone was blocking the entrance. Not only that, the garage is more of a creepy event room that is being used as parking. It has several columns inside which makes it hard to maneuver.

Our stay at Hotel Lirio was truly unforgettable! While it’s not a five-star hotel, the service made it feel like it was. Donald and Nicole were very helpful they treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The hotel has a charming hacienda-style vibe, with a beautiful pool right in the middle surrounded by lush gardens. My kids practically lived in the pool, and I loved relaxing nearby while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and the location was perfect for exploring the area while still feeling like a quiet retreat. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return!

Nicely maintained, good housekeeping, nice pool and pool area. The only complaints I would make are that the rooms were hot (no AC and ceiling fans that didn’t circulate air well) and that the dining room staff wasn’t super on point. But overall, good stay.

You can find better for less!

The hotel was probably nice a decade or two ago but there has clearly even no upkeep. It looked really cute online but the grout is coming out of the tiles and it seemed to be in general disrepair. The elevator was broken (which looking at other past reviews it has been broken for months). The lady at check in was lovely. Breakfast was lukewarm so after taking one bite we didn’t eat it and stuck with bread and fruit. The staff in the restaurant didn’t clear tables so it was difficult finding a place to sit. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Beautiful room with a jungle like campus. Unfortunately parking was very difficult and required employee assistance each time. Elevator was broken, clean swimming pools decent breakfast. Friendly staff at the front desk.
