There was no communication between the property owners & myself. This is not the first property I've rented thru VRBO. Each time I've gotten emails reminding me of my trip, directions, check in instructions etc. This time I got nothing. I messaged the owner about a question, I got a response several days later after I phoned. The listing said I would get check in instructions noon day of, we did not. The room key was deactivated before check out time. The ladies at the front desk were fabulous, so nice & helpful. The room was basic but clean & comfortable. We liked the property, it has a beautiful view of the lake. I've never left a negative review - I've never needed to, but I'm not happy with this experience.
If was only me and my wife, we wouldn’t care when we arrived and the room was not ready yet!!!(reason not clean) we supposed to have the room at 3 o’clock and we arrived at 4:30 so already they had bunch of time. But we have a baby three years old shame on them..then they had to switch my room with a bad room or I had to wait couple hours. to get my original room ready.

I had Expedia calling them at 1 o’clock to make sure the room is ready and confirmed it’s ready
By the way, this is not the first time this is the second time in this hotel they did the same thing with me. The first time they couldn’t find my name. I had to call Expedia. Expedia returned my payment and I had to pay over there at the desk. Took us another couple hours.
