Most of the staff was accommodating. Not all the restaurants are open and finding food in the afternoon was difficult. Getting coffee at breakfast was hit or miss. They only had one gentleman who had coffee and he couldn’t keep up. We didn’t have hot water 3 of our 6 nights. And we never really had much time to relax on the beach because of the locals trying to sell stuff. Transportation between beach, restaurants, etc was very frustrating. Extremely long walks and most of the time their wasn’t a driver available. We had all of these issues and we paid to upgrade to Level. It was not worth it. We discussed our issues with front desk and were not offered anything except an apology. We were taken on our last day to waste 4 hours of being pressured to buy timeshares and were never given anything for our time even though we were promised a gift for our time.

What we liked: clean beaches, water, and restaurants and bars; fresh food wonderfully prepared, great variety and availability of food and drink day and night; well-trained bartenders who could prepare all the latest cocktails. What we did not like: having "levels" of service, denied access to certain parts of the beach, certain restaurants and pool. I thought we paid a premium to have the highest level of service only to learn that despite the high cost, we didn't have full access to the resort. I would have liked to have known that ahead of time from Travelocity. We inquired about an upgrade after we arrived and learned of the restrictions and were told it would cost another $1,000. Since we had already paid more than $5,000, we declined.

We spent 11 days at this property. What we liked: the clean beach and water; clean rooms and bathrooms - even the bathrooms at the beach were spotless; the variety and availability of food day and night; the bartenders were well-versed in all kinds of wonderful cocktails. Lots of comfortable places to sit in lobbies and outside bar areas. What we didn't like: the fact that some of the restaurants and pools were off limits. When we booked, I understood our room was standard but we didn't know that we would not have access to certain areas on the beach, certain restaurants and specific pools that others "level" guests had access to. On arrival, we were told all the places we couldn't go and offered an upgrade at a cost of $1,000. We paid $5,100 for flight and resort; we talked with others who had paid substantially less than that yet had "level" VIP room and access.
