Great and Beautiful hotel. I loved

Pros: Everything, specially the entertainment group. They were so professional. We enjoyed so much!!!!!!!!!!! their night shows.
Cons: The bathroom around of beach.
Location: Excellent location, near to everything.
It was a wonderful and excited experience. we enjoyed all amenities that the hotel had. The employees of the hotel were so friendly, mannerly, and polite. The entertainment group were so so good, we laugh a lot. We passed marvelous days.

Excellent resort

We were very happy with the resort. Great place to stay. Many activities on the property. Be sure to make restaurant dinner reservations as soon as you get there for the entire stay. Italian restaurant not worth it to go to it had the same food as the buffet. Japanese restaurant and gourmet restaurant were excellent great food and service.

Worst resort ever

What a waste of money ..from the moment we checked in it was all problems ..we hadn't even received our room keys and the staff was trying to wheel and deal us ..offering room Upgrades for free as long as we "did something for him"...we had to bring our own bags to our room up 3 flights of stairs..we lost power while showering ...the pool ran out of towels everyday and we had to lay out with no towels ..the food at the restaurants was a disgrace ..we went to the Mexican restaurants they had and they literally gave us saugy tortilla chips with canned spray cheese on it ..the buffet food was awful and made me and my boyfriend both get sick ..I could go on and on..for all inclusive we didn't really get what we paid for since it took 3 hours to get a drink and when we finally Did the alcohol was so bad I couldn't even drink it ..the frozen drinks weren't frozen and the staff completely ignores you unless your waving money in there face ..I wouldn't go back here for free

Belive Collection Canoa

Pros: The staff at all of the vip areas especially Edward.
Cons: Don't even want to get started.
Location: Great location scuba diving all sorts of excursions that you can book.
I will be honest after reading all the reveiws pryor to our stay I had reservations about staying there but we chose to go with an open mind. Let me get started. We upgraded to the vip package yes the room was 100 ft from the Carribean sea awsome bar very close too the room. But that's it. Cold water too sometimes 30 minuets of running 2 sinks the tub the shower. we couldn't use the jacuzzi tub because no hot water. So the worst part about the rooms you can't flush your toilet paper the suction is horrible so you get a waste basket in the toilet area yup wow. Food. Resteraunts were so so. It's not like you would expect from a resort that claims to be 5 star. So breakfast actually pretty good except most of the food has been sitting for a while it's OK you know what's cooked as you wait or it sits on a hot plate. Getting your coffee for breakfast is like getting teeth pulled you need it but it takes forever to get it. At times we were done with eating before we would get or first cup. Now fir the vip lounge you can't say anything bad they are great people who made our vacation enjoyable, especially the bartender Edward say hi for us. So with the vip package it says all premium alcohol yes except beer they only have Corona for premium beer. The beach it's amazing, the grounds very nice ND clean.

try to get you to upgrade to VIP status for Wi Fi and private club usage. Hotel owned by an Italian company so many of the guests are Italin which is fine but the hotel bends over backwards to them and does not seem to care to much for non europeans

Nice Hotel and Beach great location

Pros: everything!
Cons: Increase staff at the restaurant for rush hours.
Location: Location is great, downtown is nearby with lot of local activities and craftmarkets.
This Hotel has been recently renewed and is in great shape. The rooms are beautiful decorated and comfortable. The food is good. The Buffet has a great selection and is constantly updated. The only downside was that on Saturday evening at rush hour around 8:00 PM, the place was too crowded and ran out of plates for a while, and was hard to get a drink from the staff. I suggest that they should have self-serve drinks available instead of waiting for a waitress.

The beach is beautiful. The grounds are nice.

Pros: The beach was wonderful! The ocean was so calm most of our stay, Which was the main reason I chose this area.
Cons: Having sheets that fit the king size beds would be wonderful. Having guest services people who spoke other languages should be a must for customers
Location: The location is why I chose this area. My husband used Coral point dive center and loved it. They run a first class facility.
How this place got 5 stars is beyond me. The room was clean. We had a king size bed. But they didn't have king size sheets. So by morning the bottom sheet was pretty much in the center of the bed. It was all inclusive w/Buffet and other side restaurants. When I asked if all the restaurants were included I was told no. Which technically was correct, b/c the American restaurant was extra. But w/language barrier we didn't realize that. That was probably the biggest problem, the language barrier. Too many workers did not speak English. Having been other places we have not had this big of a problem. It would seem when you have that many visitors, the main reservation people and especially the guest service person would speak other languages. I had forgotten my blood pressure meds. So went to the 24 hour doctor. Joke she was no help. Had an excursion that day so husband went to postpone it. The lady at the excursion desk spoke excellent English and was more helpful in getting meds for me. The day before we were to leave we were at guest services and a man was there trying to get imodium for his wife. Again they were not helpful. Luckily I had some to give him. He is the one who informed us we could eat at the other restaurants. It doesn't mention that on Mondays & Thursdays (or Friday) our hotel beach is over run with cruise ship people. Our excursion was supposed to be a snorkel trip. But we didn't stop to snorkel in Bayahibe. So felt we were misled there.

Not Worth it even for their great rate

Have visited this resort for the last 10 years and it has gone from a great hotel when ran by Hilton to finally on this last trip to a place where the only thing nice you are going to still enjoy is the beautiful beach and landscaping. The new staff is really inept and don't seem to be happy having extra work as the resort seems to be understaff. Front desk staff was not friendly at all when checking in/check out.  The only staff member still there that still does a great job is a server at the Buffett named Rosa.  If you want to eat at one of the restaurant you have to be up early and make a line to reserve otherwise you will never be able to eat at any of them and all they will do is offer you another restaurant that you will have to pay around $50.00 USD. Food at the Buffett is pretty mediocre but european tourists seem not to have a problem with it .  I would recommend Dreams which is another resort located in the area which I have also visited numerous time and it's worth paying the higher daily as you will receive better service when it comes to accommodation,food,staff and entertainment.

Not many staff members made us feel welcome!

Pros: value
Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, not very friendly towards americans
I loved the resort and some of the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. We appeared to be the only ones tipping yet we were still treated rudely by most staff. The entertainment folks were very friendly and fun and Vitalina at the pool bar was the best. She was very friendly and made us feel welcome and for that, we tipped her well during the stay. The resort itself is very nice and fun especially for the money. There seemed to be a large language barrier with speaking American English as most of the guests at the hotel were European, French, German and Italian seemed to be the second language by staff members. The food was good and the hotel was nice enough to go back for the money spent.
