The resort was unique however needs maintenance in many areas, both inside and out. There is only one restaurant to book at and reservations are limited— we were only able to eat there once due to reservation restrictions. The buffet was okay but the novelty wore off quickly.

The property itself is beautiful and the mountain location feels really unique and peaceful. I enjoyed the sense of seclusion and being surrounded by nature. Just keep in mind that getting to the beach takes a bit of time, so it’s not as close as the photos might make it seem. Be sure to read through the amenities so you know what to expect. If you’re looking for a relaxing mountain escape, this place is a great choice!

The concept is great, unfortunately the food choices/ quality are not worth what you're paying for, another downside is that they are understaffed and it affects every aspect. The beach club itself is not bad, but the beach is horrible plus there's a creek that runs by it and feels dirty.

This was our second stay at this property, and while I still love the bedding and the beautiful jungle setting, I was disappointed by the lack of adequate transportation and amenities. With the addition of Tower 6, the resort feels overcrowded. There aren’t enough golf carts for transportation, the buffet line is long, pool chairs are hard to find, and both the beach transportation and beach chair availability are insufficient for the number of guests.

We went here on our honeymoon- it was so nice. We went in rainy season so it was pretty hot! The room had air conditioning and the staff and facilities were awesome. The beach club is convenient and a nice addition considering the hotel is not on located right on the beach. Don’t miss the last bus back to the hotel @545 😂 Would definitely recommend.

We were really looking forward to this trip, but overall it didn’t meet expectations. The food felt like low-quality, generic buffet options you’d find in the U.S., which was surprising given the location. Drinks were poorly made, and the bartenders often seemed unsure of what they were doing. I’ll admit that not speaking Spanish added to the communication barrier, but even still, service felt inconsistent. Transportation was pricey, and the resort itself was overcrowded. For how much this trip cost, I expected much better. Disappointing experience.

We loved the variety of pools. The kids in the party (10, 8, 6) enjoyed the water park and water slides. The procedure for obtaining and returning pool towels is slow and tedious and should be done electronically. However, our biggest complaint was the lack of choice when it came to food. There were two buffets at the hotel for both breakfast and dinner. Food became repetitive and was at times unappealing. The 24 hour pantry choices were also very limited.

There are a lot of pros and cons to this resort. I’ll start by saying it took about an hour to get there from PVR. It’s very secluded so there is no walking to be done outside the resort. When we got there the staff didn’t seem too friendly. Didn’t look up and greet us for a few minutes. After checking in they gave us our keys with no explanation of where our room was or how to get there, so we were left to figure out how to get all our bags and our toddler to our room. No explanation of the ground or how to get around. There are LOTS of steep hills so getting anywhere on property you have to wait for a golf cart. But everyone else is waiting as well, with no one to regulate who is next. Our room was beautiful and a very nice view. There was a wooden balcony that we didn’t realize till the day after a huge thunder and lightning strom that two of the slates were rotted and came off after my husband touched them. Scary to think of what could have happened if my 3 year old had fallen. The pools were also beautiful and well maintained although if visiting in a weekend try to get up early and save a seat or you will be out of luck. There are 3 restaurants 2 with buffets. Pretty good food for an all inclusive, but nothing to brag about. The one restaurant you have to make a reservation for on the marriot experience app (which also no one explained to us upon checking in) was very good and a fun experience. But hard to get a spot.

Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
We liked the variety of pools however, there not maintained well. Overall property is poorly kept up, dirty not enough stafff to keep up with the amount of peoples needs. The beach area was small not enough sitting the area was disgusting we had to sit by there drainage system awful sewage stinch.

Not enough tables at the restaurants. Horrible food at diner. Not enough towels at gym or pool. You need to get around in a golf cart from rooms to lobby and one of the pools and you can wait forever to get a ride.
