Third year I’ve stayed here on my annual Colorado motorcycle trip and it doesn’t disappoint. Not fancy, but has everything you need, including a pool and jacuzzi. Clean, centrally located and reasonably priced.

We don't need much for a one or two night stay and we like the old "Mom and Pop" Motor Hotels. Great Western Colorado Lodge was just right. It's not new so some updates were done in a way that works if not the most modern. We liked it, especially for the great rate.

We are one of the oldest buildings in historic downtown Salida and we are proud of it. Our management puts efforts to maintain our classic building while providing comfortable stay for our guests. Check-in was... difficult. The clerk had a thick accent, was wearing a mask and was behind a plexiglass wall. I had much difficulty understanding him. The lobby was unfriendly. Lots of signs saying NO, such as "No breakfast served" "No pets allowed" and other indications of what they DIDN'T do.

Our staffs who may have some health conditions can wear masks on their own decision. Also, we are currently providing indoor swimming pool and dry sauna. We have placed several notices on reservation websites about other amenities. We also let guests know again when they check in and we’ve placed notices in the lobby so guests can know what’s available and what’s not. These notices are for guests’ convenience, but we feel sorry that it didn’t meet your convenience. We hope you find a better fit for your next trip.

Not enough value for price. No amenities nor AARP discount available or offered: jacuzzi, pool, breakfast, etc.

As we’ve placed a notice on reservation websites including travelocity .com that you used since the pandemic, our amenities such as swimming pool, hot tub, dry sauna, and breakfast are closed. We also remind our guests when they check in and offer free cancellation upon guests’ request. Our room rates have been lowered to reflect a lack of amenities. we are currently providing one of the most affordable rates in town.
