Fabulous!

Sonja, the housekeeper, was so warm and welcoming. She made sure our stay was perfect. Julio did a fantastic job at maintaining the grounds and brought us fresh coconuts one day. Working with our concierge, Erica, made this trip go off without a hitch.

The perfect place for a vacation!

We loved Castaway Villa. We shared the home with three other couples. The place was a beautiful and well appointed property. No one had a single complaint. Our house staff were the best. Sonya always had a smile on her face and made sure our every need was taken care of. Our Chef for the week was Albert. He was a very friendly and personable man. The meals he prepared for us were excellent! Julio kept the outdoor areas perfectly maintained. He even cut up coconuts so we could sample the fresh flavor of the juice and coconut. Everyone was a joy to work with. We will be scheduling another stay in the future. Thank you for letting us share your home!

Paradise!

The house was beautiful! It provided everything that guests would need. The many sitting and relaxing areas are well planned out so that we were able to enjoy the wonderful scenery no matter the weather conditions. We appreciated the welcoming staff: Sonya, Carlos & Garreth.

Gecko Vacation Rentals was amazing!! We stayed in Castaway Villa in Maya Beach and it was perfect. The house was even more gorgeous than the photos. The team really worked hard to make sure we had a great trip. Erica, our concierge was attentive and quick to respond. She answered all my questions for months leading up to our trip! Carlos and Sonja came by daily to make sure everything was clean and up to resort standards. Our Chef Garrett was fantastic and worked hard to make delicious food and always left the kitchen spotless. It really was a perfect vacation. I wouldn't hesitate to book with this company. Thank you guys so much!

Thanks for letting us stay at Castaway Villa! It was beautiful! The house exceeded our expectations and was even better than the photos showed. We had quite a bit of rain unfortunately but made the best of it and had lots of fun anyway! We opted out of the chef so can't speak for that because we enjoy cooking ourselves. Sonia the housekeeper was phenomenal! She was so sweet and did a wonderful job. She needs a raise because she was amazing!Aisais the groundskeeper was great as well! The pilot light for the hot waterheater went out and we didnt have hot water. It was no fault of anyones but rather because of all the torrential rain. We texted Aisais and he was there within 5-10 mins. Him and another guy fixed it and waited until they were certain we had hot water. They told us to call if anymore problems. Very responsive and kind. Everyone we met were warm and genuine. We went on a fun fishing/snorkelimg day with Akeem from Cultural Experience. He was great and although we didn't snorkel because of the weather we had a great day and saw some very fun stuff. We got to take home the fish to cook at home and it was amazing! Thanks for sharing your home it is beautiful and the staff is top notch!

A Dream Getaway at Castaway Villa, Belize

Our experience at Castaway Villa was nothing short of amazing—truly the perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and relaxation. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the attentive staff who greeted us with chips, fresh salsa, and local rum cocktails—a thoughtful and festive start to our stay. Each morning began with coffee on the pier, where we were lucky enough to be joined daily by manatees who lingered near the dock throughout the week. While the ocean was a bit choppy during our stay, making the water toys less desirable, we spent countless hours enjoying the stunning infinity pool and soaking in the breathtaking views. One of the highlights of our trip was exploring the Placencia Peninsula by golf cart, immersing ourselves in the local culture and enjoying the laid-back charm of Belize. We booked a private tour with a local captain who took us to a secluded island where we snorkeled and swam with nurse sharks and stingrays in crystal-clear waters—an unforgettable experience. He later brought us to King Lewey Island, where we indulged in the best quesadilla's we've ever had while taking in the vibrant atmosphere and water activities. Another standout adventure was our excursion to Monkey River. On the way there, we were treated to a playful display by dolphins, and once we arrived, we were surrounded by the haunting calls of black howler monkeys as males vocalized in a dramatic display of territory. The trip concluded with a traditional Belizean lunch prepared by our captain’s family in the village where he was raised—a truly special and personal touch we will never forget. A wonderful experience during our stay was the beachside massages we arranged through the management company. Receiving personalized massages with the ocean as our backdrop was the ultimate moment of relaxation and one of the most memorable parts of our trip. Back at the villa, we loved how the home was designed to suit every mood and moment—whether we wanted to gather as a group or enjoy some quiet alone time. The layout offered multiple cozy spaces to relax, making it easy for everyone to feel at home. In every way, this vacation exceeded our expectations. We left with full hearts, cherished memories, and a deep appreciation for the beauty and hospitality of Belize. We would return in a heartbeat.
