The host was definitely inattentive. My daughter was placed in a potentially perilous situation. The management company, ‘Envitae’, assured me that there would be a night valet present to let my daughter in the building (just to be safe, I checked with them twice). Well, there was no night valet to be found, not only upon her arrival, but the entire time during our 5-day stay. A tenant subsequently informed us that the night valet position was completely eliminated a week prior to our arrival. It would have left my daughter, plus her luggage, stranded outside, and thus in an unsafe situation, if her driver from the airport was not a personal friend of mine. He waited for 45 minutes for someone to walk out the door so that he could escort my daughter inside the building safely.Our Envitae contact acknowledged reception of my email of complaint, but, disappointingly, did not follow up with me at all from there. There were also a number of other issues that all pointed towards a lack of proper standard care of the apartment (eg. numerous mold spots on the guest bathroom ceiling, poop stain near master bath toilet, damaged window blinds in one window, and a sticking guest bath faucet when turned up all the way).Needless to say, I’m extremely upset about the entire situation. This also reflects very badly on VRBO. You guys should be on top of those who are listing on your site. Primarily that which involves potential safety issues.
