"Booked this as a splurge for our trip, knowing it's unlikely we'll do a safari/game drive trip again as we're coming from the states. This exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful and we especially appreciated the tub overlooking the plains and the private plunge pool and balcony. From the patio we were able to overlook herds of zebras and wildebeest playing, squeaking and grunting. The meals were fantastic with made to order breakfast, high tea, and a 5 course dinner with 2 entree options. Both chefs we're incredibly talented. This was a great opportunity to try kudu and ostrich. The property had a gorgeous view of a watering hole where we saw hippos, elephants, wildebeest, zebras, kudu, and eland. Obviously the stand out was the game drives, we did a sunrise each day and sunset each day each lasting about 3.5-4 hours and we almost saw all the big five! We missed cape buffalo but each day saw lions and leopards, giraffes, elephants, baboons, zebras, hippos, black and white rhino, and many more antelope. It was incredible. Only downside was the amount of bugs and straw in the room seemed a bit for the price point and it was quite warm inside at night since we couldn't open windows. While I acknowledge we're in the bush, other places with the same building type and lower price points haven't had the same issue. Also, they had a wonderful espresso machine but the coffee was always burnt which was disappointing"
