In the middle of the night found infestation of insects, went to front desk and first offered to kill them. I asked to be moved. Next morning room was made up by housekeeping without insect issue being addressed. Also no automatic doors between lobby and hallway where room are.

Welcoming and friendly hotel.

Checked in to this hotel on our way to Ottawa, and found friendly staff welcoming us. We felt very safe and comfortable in this quick stop. Would recommend this place to friends.

Noisy fridge, old furniture, old bed, the room had not been updated in years. Hair dryer didn’t work. Staff doing best with what they have. Looked and felt like this location was struggling financially, and barely holding on. No fault of the staff.

Curtains need updating. Staff should not clean until guests lrave, Staff should clean room, not just replace towels. ( bring enough towels to replace dirty(. Staff should make bed. Should have green outdoor sheltered area for lounging, smoking etc. Should have keys that work. Should have info on local places, not just Ottawa.

This is our second time staying at this location when heading to sandbanks provincial park. The rooms are definitely old but the cleanliness is 100%. Start is always friendly and helpful directing you where to go and how to get on the wifi. Also we cannot say enough about the Piper Arms restaurant attached to this hotel. The food and staff is outstanding. We had dinner and a couple drinks and we’re so happy we did breakfast also. If you’re looking for a great clean place to stay with excellent restaurant. Then look no further!

Do not stay here is you have another option!

We were in Trenton for a remembrance service. We stopped to check in quickly so we could drop our stuff off and change. The clerk never smiled nor really greeted us, nor acknowledged our status level with Hotels or offer any amenity or upgrade. We reserved and prepaid for (over $200!) a queen room - the bed was a double and terribly uncomfortable. I did not have time to go wait in line to see about changing to what we paid for. In the morning, my wife went to take a shower and the tub was plugged. Overall a bad experience that I am not at all pleased with.
This is a double bed at best - and was TERRIBLY uncomfortable.
This was the tub after my wife took a VERY quick shower.
