Bugs, dilapidated...refused to stay

Besides the fact you must be fit to even get to the place and most drivers won't go down that hill, the pictures online are a poor representation of this place. If you don't mind sleeping with bugs, this is the perfect place for you. We walked into the room, called a taxi and ran out of there!

Awful Experience, Yes Close Beach

Hands down the worst place we stayed in the entirety of Thailand. I wish I would have checked the reviews on other sites and not just here on expedia. They overbooked us, so when we arrived, they said sorry and had us walk in the rain with our bags up the hill to another location that they secured a room for us. We had payed for cliff side, ocean view, and we were met with leaking room and non working plumbing. The walls swelled with rain water pouring in. The next morning we were shuffled back down the hill to our actual room. The staff was rude and did not seem bothered by our bad night. They simply said, our room would be ready in a few hours. When it was ready, we arrived, there were ants working their way up the bed sides. The beds themselves were not 1 king, but rather 2 twins pushed together that felt like plywood. Overall, they can't control the weather, but since it was raining it was a major slip hazard. The walkways are narrow and dangerous. The path to the beach is close and that is about the only redeeming quality of the entire property. We were told because of all the problems we could have late checkout which would be nice because it was still pouring rain and being able to shower would be a plus. However, once the check out time rolled around, they promplty shuffled us out and didn't seem to care what agreement the owner had made with us. In closing, do not stay here. It may look appealing but be warned of all hidden dangers.

Nice view, horrible hotel

Apart from the view, this place should be demolished. It's old, dirty, dangerous, handrails fallen off, rubbish stacked in places, sooooo dirty & falling apart, beds seem to not have mattresses they are that uncomfortable, as for the staff, omg, they're as depressing as the place itself. The location though is amazing, right at the end of Karon beach, unfortunately though they have traded on this too far.

Dirty room, uncomfortable bed, but stunning view

I was really disappointed with this hotel. The staff weren't polite at all. My room was dirty - the sheets had marks on them, there was a squashed dead bug on the floor, the bathroom smelt bad and there were ants all through the bed. The safe wasn't secured to the wall properly and was therefore useless. The bed was literally the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on (and I spent a year backpacking in hostels... so that really says something!). Honestly, I had a terrible sleep because the bed was so awful. The view from the main area/restaurant was really beautiful. It was amazing... only good thing about this place.

Desapointing was suppose to be more !!!

Room is big but old, the location is nice and also the view. It is hard to get there, you need to get a motorbike to go around, They don't rent them there and they don't have a deal with a supplier, so you will have to find it or spend a lot in taxi. There was no towel in the bathroom, suppose to have toiletry... Only thing was a little bar of soap... Suppose to have wifi in the room, but no only at the restaurant !!! Could not pay with credit card... They are quipped to make a café latte, but they don't do them. Hotel with a potential but not manage the right way, will not go back because many other hotel give you more for less. Not a deal

magnificent views, but!!!!!

Views from the balcony are magnificent, unfortunately that is where it ends. 146 steps on a steep hill just to get to reception (the room and back) to inform them the air con doesn't work no water in the shower, and more wildlife in the room than outside, the small crawly kind. There are no phones in the rooms. The staff would not put a message on the door of my room from my distraught wife, (7500 kms away) in case I may have been caught doing something I shouldn't. (lets protect the guilty)

AC didn't work, ants crawling everywhere, no wifi in the room, no toiletries, had to ask for kettle, no tea or coffee, mattress was broken, wardrobes and drawers broken, damp on ceiling, no towels in room until we asked for them. Overall not a good experience.

Relaxed getaway

This is a great place for couples looking for a fun relaxed place to rest and have fun away from the crowded city but still close. The beach is less than 50 feet from your room. Super staff and great food... The bonglowes were being renovated while we were there but they are still very nice. Would recomened it to all my friends

Functional but cut to the boone

Really nice location. Ait-con, water in bath and cleaning was fuctional, bed-clothes old and not clean. Breakfast too lousy, restaurent at hotel only used once as you could eat much better anywhere else. Pictures at Hotel.com not up-dated, as I could not reconize my room. The hotel was in general worn-down

Awesome view

The hotel doesn't even has a room service(even a telephone to connect you to reception), too much stairs and fatigue if you wanna eat something in the room. Balcony is really nice, rooms are clean. Lost my wallet over the open air lobby (the hotel staff was decent and honest to get me my wallet back; nothing stolen)

Hotel with a great view from the terrace

We love this place because the bungalows are situated high up where you get all the wind and air and light from the sea and Karon Beach. Dawn is often followed by wonderful bird songs in the trees and waves of cries from crickets on the ground which gives it such a vibe. You can hear the waves far below you all the time which is just wonderful to the ears. There are steps all over the grounds and these are often of unequal height - would never pass Health & Safety regs - but if you're forewarned then you get used to these quirks.

Cliffside Bungalows to get away.

The rooms here are bungalows so they're not pristine but have the essentials. They don't have 'in room wifi' but there are two routers that cover the hotel area well enough. All of the rooms have an amazing cliff side view that is breathtaking for the price. I liked that there is a bar/restaurant in the center of the hillside bungalow areas. Mattresses are very hard though.

Great location/view....bed springs for a bed NOT!!

Liked the hotel restaurant, staff, location, and view, but the rooms were spartan (no dresser or shelves for clothes and terrible bed).
