A mixed bag

Only one elevator in service, took forever. Some people at desk very nice, some very cold. Breakfast price good, food not. Room was clean, but noise from construction made things tough. TV in crazy place, could only see from an angle. On Saturday night, motorcycle revving and cycle meetings outside until 3am. I do understand that they are undergoing a remodel and this will make the place a bit more contemporary. Price was good.

The property was under renovations, but still one of the nicest hotels I've been at in a long time. The staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was great and the room was large and very clean. Will definitely stay there again.

Conveniently located near Old Town Scottsdale. The room was comfortable and the AC worked very well and helped keep me cool on a hot day. This location has not been renovated in the style of other more modern Hyatt Place locations but it was well maintained. The shower head had really good water pressure and I had a pleasant bathing experience.

Great property however, wish I had known that they were doing renovations. Pool area and pool were out of service due to renovations.....protective covering was in one of the two elevators and on the first floor as work continued during the duration of my stay. Service was excellent. Room and gathering areas were clean, spacious and very nice. All personnel I interacted with were top notch! Hotel was exceptional for price and services.

Great location, renovation going on at present

I enjoy staying at this hotel with good proximity to old town Scottsdale. During this stay unfortunately I was there during renovations and the water had to be turned off from the hours of 11am-4pm 2 days so it affected me for early and tail end hours. My washroom sink did not drain (I’m sure it will be repaired soon) and there was luckily a kitchenette sink to use; no microwave in the room though 😕. The air conditioning seemed to have a bit of misty/moisture. All in all beds are great, staff is friendly but the building is undergoing an upgrade/ overhaul so for now it has challenges. Price was good also

Did not live up to expectations

I chose this hotel for a one-night stay based on its convenient location, 12 PM checkout time, and the availability of a pool—especially since we planned a relaxing pool day after a long day at the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. Upon check-in, I was informed that water would be shut off at 11 AM due to construction—something that was never communicated in advance. Even more disappointing, the pool was already taken over by construction crews and completely unusable, again without any prior notice. This was particularly frustrating as enjoying the pool was a key part of our plan. The on-site continental breakfast was fine and what you'd expect, but overall, the experience didn’t reflect good value for the price paid. Communication and transparency about amenities during renovations would have made a big difference.
