very nice place

The house was very nice. We stayed here for 1 week. Communication with the host was excellent. We didn't have any problems during the stay. The house is showing a little bit of wear and tear from previous renters, but it didn't seem too bad. We would certainly like to stay here again if we are in the area.

Wonderful vacation home

Lots of room and storage places. Pool was terrific. Distance to beach was just a short walk. Beach not crowded. Pool area lounge is spacious and well equiped.Description of property needs a bit of updating. Master bath is a huge 2 headed shower but no jetted tub.The hot tub by the pool IS working. The ice maker in the refrigerator did not work but the manager promptly brought a stand alone ice maker. Sleeper sofa was missing some springs but manager quickly corrected that. Would gladly rent again!

Mixed emotions

Was so excited to stay here because of the boat lift, pool, hot tub and proximity to the beach. However the lift was broke, hot tub broke and pool needed maintenance. So sad. Nothing was fixed before we left. The location is prime!! Quick walk to the beach. Loved the canal.

Boating Getaway ! !

Beautiful home great location! Parking was a little tight but we made it work. Boat trailer was a challenge. Couldn’t park it there. Hope we can find a good space to leave it next time. Looking for suggestions on that. We would love to go back!!

Spring break

The pros: The house had enough room for our two families. The beach was close and not busy we felt like we had a private beach all to ourselves. Easy shopping in both directions from the house within a short drive. The cons: We were told the day prior to arrival that the hot tub was not working and that it needed a part. Upon arrival the hot tub was pretty much in the middle of a complete overhaul and likely has been in that state for quite some time. We did get a small refund for this but the hot tub was one of the main reasons we choose this house. There outdoor cook area was pretty dirty, trash still under the cabinet and the grill was filthy. The listing says this house has no immediate neighbors, this is not the case. They are building another house approximately 20ft from the pool and worked from 7am-7pm everyday even Easter Sunday during our trip. It was VERY loud and we had zero privacy as we had a group of construction workers watching us at the pool everyday. When speaking to a worker he said they had began the project 6 weeks prior. A heads up would have been nice. Overall the place has nice room, great location, but the loud construction and lack of hot tub was very disappointing to our group.

In accurate description

We enjoyed our stay very much, the house was very clean and decorated nicely. The only downfall was that we wasn’t aware the living and kitchen quarters is upstairs. We had 2 elderly adults and a disabled person with cerebral palsy. This made it very hard to get them up and down the stairs. All three were limited to only being able to go downstairs but once a day. This needs to be updated in the description of the property cause it’s not clearly stated. We had a great family vacation despite the obstacles! I would recommend this house as long as it’s young adults or adults who can climb a lot of stairs.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at Captain Kidd Palace! We were a group of 12 ages 3-66. The pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen area was just perfect. We spent a lot of time there. The open kitchen area with dining table and bar seating worked well for us as we did not eat out once! We enjoyed playing pool also. I also brought some playing cards, board games and drawing pads for the kiddos. The beach was quite pleasant and not crowded. We are glad that we brought beach chairs and umbrellas. The dock area was also a big plus for us as we brought our boat and spent a good bit of time boating and fishing. There were a number of days when no one even turned on a television. Amazing!

Edventure 2023

We have kids in WV, Oh, and Tn. They flew into Pensacola and we brought our boat along from Tn. We had plenty of space.The location was fantastic with ocean and bay views. We used the boat lift and went into the bay everyday and walked to the beach everyday. The pool was fantastic and the pool table was an evening treat! We will definitely be back!

Fun time at great place.

Our family had a great time! Even though 3 members had a stomach bug. They recovered and enjoyed their time there. The hosts, Dan and Patti were wonderful hosts. They were very helpful and accommodating. Great place and location.

This home has it all!

Beautiful neighborhood and the amenities are priceless, our family is diverse and everyone was pleased with all the options. The outdoor space is amazing, which is where we spent most of our time!! The view over the infinity pool to the dock is awesome! My grandson caught a good size flounder at the dock. I wish the lights at the dock worked so we could fish at night but the box was locked, I assume there is a reason. Views from the top floor of the ocean are gorgeous! Short walk to the beach, most days we had the whole beach to ourselves, it was wonderful! Location is very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The outdoor furniture needs cleaning or replaced since it's the end of the season I'm sure this will be taken care of. We never found the light switch to the steps next to the pool going down to the dock and it's very dark at night, so it's a bit of a hazard so I thought I should mention it. Most of the beach chairs are broken but again, I'm sure this will be addressed. Overall, the home is amazing and our family had one of the best trips ever and will be back!

Family Reunion

The house was absolutely amazing, it was clean well stocked with everything we needed. Patty the property manager made the process of the rental seamless she definitely went above and beyond. I will definitely rent this house again in the future.

It's a nice place. There were a few things that weren't the best, but overall it was a good time.

It's a very nice house with a great location. There were chairs, floats, nets and all sorts of things to use at the house. Plenty of space! However, to pay the price we paid there are a few things our group was very disappointed about. The hot tub was not hot at all, cold actually our entire stay which was disappointing especially in the evenings. The property manager always responded promptly to my texts, but the workers never came to fix it. The pool jets only worked if somebody walked into the field beside the house to turn them on. One of the guest bedrooms had a very uncomfortable bed per the guests who slept in that room. The wifi did not work well at all and the TV lagged everytime we tried to watch. Lastly, this morning there was a cockroach in the master bathroom on my husband's swim suit on the counter. It's a very nice house, don't get me wrong, I just feel for the price it's not as well maintained as it should be.

Nice house

Communication with owners was very good. The house is nice, kitchen well stocked with dishes, plates, silverware and appliances. Pool table is a nice bonus, plenty of room for all the guests. Biggest issue is the cleanliness. We found dead bugs in several rooms, bathroom floors could be cleaner. Garage door and hot tub didn’t work. Outdoor kitchen is a nice plus but it’s not very clean, couch cushions need cleaning, TV not hung properly there’s a risk of it falling, under counter not clean. Pool and hot tub not very clean as it appears pool vacuum may not be working. So overall it can be a great place for a family vacation but poor maintenance , upkeep and cleaning needs real improvement.

Great location, great house!

We enjoyed our week long stay. It’s even better than the pictures do it justice. The walk to the beach is about 8 minutes and is a little bit of a haul, especially if you have kids and beach gear, but it’s like having a private beach when you get there.
