Joseph our life saver!

I booked a room on line thru Hotels . Com for what I thought was 8/20-8/21 but the calendar bounced to 8/25-8/26. Even though I had double checked my dates. Joseph the manager was AMAZING & so HAPPY. He canceled our previous date and rebooked us for the correct date with NO problems!! We got the last room within a 29 mile radius East and West of us. So grateful for the service Joseph provided us with!!! You made a difference to some weary travelers, keep spreading you sense of humor & kindness the world could use more of that:)

Made reservation after 10pm, arrived at 12:45am. No staff, one to answer the phone number on door that sad 24 hour staff, mailbox full so unable to leave message. Sketchy area in dirt road and shady characters wandering around. Expedia refunded my reservation as they also couldn’t reach property.

1. Property is generally rundown. 2. It is a pet friendly hotel and when we entered our room we immediately noted two large wet spots on the carpet. 3. In the bathroom there was a large dried booger on the wall next to the toilet, some strange white smears on the door and the tub had gunk in it. 4. I turned on the fan and air that smelled like cigarette smoke blew in (the room was non-smoking, but on our arrival I noted several people sitting outside their doors and smoking right next to the windows.) 5. The sheets were very thin and didn’t really fit the mattress, the mattress was covered in plastic and due to the above situation with the fan it was a very uncomfortable night of sweating and sticking to the disgusting mattress.

This is an old, no frills, roadside motel, but it wasn't bad or scary, you just need to temper your expectations. There was ample parking right in front of our unit which was helpful. The air conditioner in our room was an absolute beast, almost too cold but with it being in the upper 80s outside, it was welcome. The showerhead is pretty short and faucet was very difficult to use but the water got hot. The mini fridge/ freezer was on and ready to go when we arrived and it was nice to have a little dining area. The blankets were very thin but for the price point for a quick overnight, it's fine.

The terrible bed frame was resolved by great staff after hours. Mattress qas still soft & created nice hole for my bad back to eest in. Just kidding - old matress was barely acceptable, but I got some sleep. Shower was nice Water pressure goid, hot water very hot. Air conditioner good. Coffee and pop-tarts in libby (in morning) both good.
