It was...

It looked cute in the pictures, it looks a little run down, but it was comfortable and quiet. I was so looking forward to breakfast but it wasn’t for me. Basic and not the best. Over all pep up the breakfast game and coffee! Everything else was good. Oh and my friendly spider that I found in the shower lol no biggie it was just a daddy long-leg. But the view of the mountains was nice.

The beds in the room were by far the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. I asked for a room with 2 queens and we got a room with what seemed like they were double beds.

The hotel is in pretty bad shape, very old, not properly maintained. The room looks very old, the floor squeaks as you walk, beds are not queen size, they are more like full size. There’s no elevator which makes it very difficult to take the luggage to the second floor. Breakfast was not the best one, eggs did not taste like eggs, for me, the sausage was unsafe to eat. The pictures look a lot better than what the hotel really is. Front office does not smell good, there’s a strange smell in there. It was totally disappointing

Panguitch Stay

The hotel sits about 7 miles outside of the town of Panguitch. The restaurant at the hotel is not operating so we went into the town for dinner. This was the weekend of the Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally so their were craft vendors set up to walk through. We ate at Pepe's Mexican Grill. They've only been open a short time but the food was good. We got up at 7am to go watch the balloons ascending in the chilly air and the went back for breakfast. Breakfast was a full spread of hot and cold choices.

We had an upstairs room. To get upstairs, you needed to take the uncovered, wooden stairs on the outside of the building. The stairs and upper balcony felt like and appeared as if it might fall off. Wood was broken and the paint has wore off in places. There were even holes in the side of the building. Birds have made nests in the ceiling above. Bird droppings everywhere. We stayed only because the room itself was ok. Beds were good. Clean bathroom. Small sized bath towels. Inside issues…An outlet was uncovered. The room needed re-painting and the air conditioning/heating unit has pulled away from the wall. Breakfast was basic.

The staff was friendly and kind.This place is in isolation. The photos of the place is misleading. The place is in need of renovations. I did not stay on the property because i felt unsafe and the room was not clean. There was a dirty towel hanging on the back pf the bathroom door. Two thumbs down for me
