Experienced a massive WiFi outage at the property for the entire first 24 hours of our stay. Might not have been an issue if it had not been for the fact that the cell coverage in the area is horrendous at best. Knowing this to be the case, I chose this place because of the free WiFi so I could keep tabs on my diabetic family member. The staff were sympathetic, offering the use of the office phone to call if needed, but the fact that there are no room phones and I could not even monitor the app to tell me if I needed to call the family kind of made that a moot point.
Overall, the rooms are fairly up to date, with the exception of the bathrooms. The bedding has some staining issues from excessive use (darkened pillows, off-white whites etc). The motel is just outside of Wiarton, and the highway is super dark. There is (what seemed to be) a single light bulb illuminating the sign, so we missed it once while returning after sunset.
While we were not dissatisfied, I am not sure we would return or recommend the place to friends or family.
