Excited to leave

The pictures do not accurately represent this property. The secondary lock for our room was broken. It was concerning to me since it was an exterior door! The bed was really bouncy and springy. Black mold was on the bathroom vent. The front desk staff were hardly available, with a sign saying “they’d be back momentarily”. Also, sketchy/weird people hanging out in the parking lot. Was definitely not a good stay.

Don't stay here.

I called approx one week in advance to let them know that I cannot do stairs and didnt want to use an elevator because I had a stroke and I walk with a walker. The man ai talked to said not to worry. All room we on ground level. ( lie number 1) Whe I checked in the man gave me my key and said here you go, your room in on greo7nd floor next to the pool just past the glass door. ( lie number 2) I didnt know the lay out of the hotel, walk to find my room and low and behold it was on the second floor. And to get there was a long flight of stairs. I asked my son to walk back to the office and tell the man that he made a mistake and gave us the wrong key. The man told my son...no mistake we are booked and there are no other rooms. We stayed. Took me awhile to climb the stairs. The room was all the way at the end of a long, long hallway. Took me about an hour to get my breathing back to normal. Carring a walker up a flight of stairs was impossible. Then the room...my God. The bathroom was filthy. Spider webs, crumbs, and dirty towels. Shameful.

Mold on all the walls near the ceiling in the bathroom. Towels had stains, pool didn’t have the attention needed for a building was supposedly full. Toilet just runs. I would stay there again if I had to (short term - 3 nights max) but definitely not with my family. Did have a nice view of the lake! It felt safe. Was continently located. Overall, it was ok at best!

There was black mold under falling down wallpaper. The bed sunk in the middle. The doorknob was very loose. The guy on duty would not honor the price online. We were supposed to stay 2 nights; we left after 1. We did not received a refund for the second night. We will never stay there again.

Don’t stay here unless they make major changes

Long review. If we could leave zero stars we would. Zero on room service, zero on cleanliness, zero on the serve yourself breakfast…zero top to bottom. We have traveled for more than 40 years and we have never had a worse hotel, ever. We leave very honest reviews and this was a zero! It is no longer a local owner and currently licensed under Sun Motel LLC, the expiration date was April 30, 2025, so the displayed license has expired. (We didn’t know this until we went looking for owner information) The photos don’t even begin to show how bad this was. We had to check in and leave to get to our event. It wasn’t until we came back to a mold filled disgustingly dirty room that we were aware of the beginning of the disappointment. The sign on the front desk says you have to report within a few minutes if there are issues and we were gone all day, so couldn’t change rooms. The mold was everywhere including on the table legs and chairs. The ceilings, bathroom and A/C. The first morning we went to get the self serve breakfast that is supposed to be included. It was dried out bread, no butter, jelly or topping of any type for the toast. A couple containers of cream cheese but not enough for the bagels there, a pancake machine, some packaged little blueberry muffins and cereal in giant boxes-shared community style. Full sizes of gallon of milk, sunny D and apple juice. Once the Sunny D was gone it was not replaced for following days it was just no longer

There was mold on the walls and ceiling. Wall paper and the walls were peeling apart. Bathtub was dirty and badly stained. I talked to the staff about it. They seemed to think it was normal and slight language barrier.

My boyfriend and I rented a room for one night. The rooms with jetted tubs looked impressive. I was given the key to room 222 initially. I really liked the decor. Unfortunately it was unclean. None of the mirrors or surfaces were cleaned. There was hair in the tub and shower. There was a hole in the wall behind the door. There was a considerable pile of dirt in the bathroom behind the door. And the TV remote didn't work. After complaining, we were moved to another room. This time the room was 107. An awful smell was enough to knock a person out. I complained to the front desk. He said he would spray something but that's the best he could do. Tired and aggravated, I agreed. He claimed he checked the rooms and didn't see any problems. I called him on it and told him I don't think he would find those rooms suitable if he were paying to stay there. He came back and sprayed something else all over the carpet to help with the smell. By morning the smell was back and I woke up with a terrible headache and stuffy nose. They refused a discount but did their best to accommodate us. I tried to show the staff the areas that needed attention and they didn't want to listen. I get the impression this place used to be higher end but maybe changed hands recently? Improve your guests experience through quality, cleanliness, attention to detail and premier customer support.

We rented the room and paid $152 in order to have a tub with jets. That was the only nice thing. There was a hole in the wall behind the doorknob, the wallpaper was coming off the wall, there was literally someones shirt in the bathroom. The toilet had a black ring around it that my husband scrubbed off. A cockroach crawled down the inside of the door when i shut it. Around the outer edge of the tub was some tile, and the plastic edging that lined it was attached to nothing. Every time you stepped on it, it slid off. The coffee pot in the room was missing the carafe. I thought it may be a single serve, so placed a foam cup under it, until i noticed that it was really getting hot. Someone had poured laundry beads in the vents and they were molded. You could see black mold in it, as well as in the exhaust fan in the bathroom. On top of all that, it was DIRTY. There were food bits and dog food pieces under the table that the tv was on as well as behind the fridge. I saw this when i went to plug in my phone. SUPER disappointing. You can tell it used to be nice, as there was a fountain outside, although it was disconnected with grass grown up around it. When i went to the front desk to show them pics of the damages (so they couldnt blame us), there was a woman requesting clean sheets, and she told me her room AND bed was filthy. At least our bed was clean and comfy. And the tub was nice.....after we cleaned it. We wore crocs the entire time we were in the room.

Better than sleeping on the ground but not by much

The bed was clean that was about the only positive.we didnt have a working tv remote. The jacuzzi tub smelled like sewage. There were boogers all over the bathroom wall. The wallpapper was peeling and falling off. There was very rarely somone at the front counter. The rest of the hotel either smelled like onions or cigarettes. The pool was full of trash.
