Sucre, Bolivia. A beautiful colonial city which also happen to be one of Bolivia's two capitals. #troveontuesday

The streets of Sucre are awash with signs like these, and the city has a reputation for being one of the best places to learn Spanish in South America - and one of the cheapest.

You can choose from either group or private lessons, and in my case the group lessons were only 5 bolivianos (44p) cheaper per hour than one-to-one tuition, so there was no question as to which one I chose.

Most schools will offer flexibility as to how many hours of lessons you want to take each day and at what time, which is fantastic because it allows you to fit your learning in with your sightseeing!

I cannot speak for any of the other schools but I found South America Spanish School - run by the lovely Bertha - to be a great little find. Bertha offers extra curricular activities such as film showings and cooking classes too, which is a great way to meet other students, and practice your language skills.

Ok ok, I know a cemetery is not a tourist attraction, and I did feel very awkward strolling through the grounds with a camera over my shoulder, but this is such a tranquil and beautiful place.

Ornate monuments and tombs lie amongst poplar trees and picturesque palms, and several well-maintained pathways and neatly manicured gardens complete the site.

If you do bring a camera here (as I did), just remember to pay attention to those around you and be respectful to those who have come to mourn their loved ones.
Great panoramic view of Sucre up here
