We had a great vacation and really enjoyed our stay overall. The house was spacious, comfortable, and mostly clean. The host was excellent to work with any time I reached out with a question or concern, they responded quickly, which we really appreciated.There were a few issues that kept this from being a higher-rated stay. The kitchen was lacking some basic items for a larger group, such as a large cooking pot, and there weren’t enough towels provided. We were also surprised that no washcloths were available, which would have been helpful to know before arriving. Another challenge was the lack of a pantry or designated storage space for groceries, so we ended up keeping most of our food and supplies on the kitchen island throughout the trip.The listing also stated that the home could sleep 16 guests. However, one of the mattresses was stored in a closet and had to be set up by us. Even after doing that, there still wasn’t adequate sleeping space for everyone in our group, and one guest ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This was disappointing since we booked the home based on the advertised sleeping capacity.As for cleanliness, the home appeared clean overall, but there was a noticeable odor that reminded us of a dirty mop or cleaning water. Despite these inconveniences, we had a wonderful trip and made great memories. The responsive host and overall experience made our stay enjoyable.
