Great Value

This place is a great find. If you like an out of the way, quiet waterfront bargain, this is it. Like all great waterside get ways, it's a little funky but clean and nice. Super friendly helpful staff.

Clean, comfortable room. Convenient breakfast. Towels were a bit thin. Pancakes couldn't be cut with plastic knife. Rolled up and ate like a sandwich.

Pleasant Property on the Water

Pros: Great location on the water, free safe parking and caring staff.
Cons: Our room lacked washcloths; this did not trouble us enough to make a run downstairs to the lobby.
Location: On Alameda Island in a mixed use area. Close to several large office parks with a shopping center around 1 mile away.
We enjoyed staying at this older but well maintained property. The room was spotless and larger than expected. The linens and duvet looked new and the mattress was very comfortable. So quiet at night and in the morning, woke to birds singing and gentle lapping of the water against the boat docks. When we looked out the window, a large wild rabbit was calmly chewing its breakfast in the yard. Nice breakfast with several items; we made waffles. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The parking is free and its fun to be next to the Oakland Yacht Club. The rooms next to us were undergoing renovation; I hope room rates won't increase too much so we can stay again. The location is a little difficult to find but worth the search.

Dirty, Bedbugs

This hotel was very dirty, stains on the carpet, garbage under the bed and I believe I contracted bedbugs from the hotel. Ended up with a rash after staying here, looked online and it fits the description of bedbugs. Yuck. I have stayed here in the past and enjoyed it. Not sure if it is under new management of having financial difficulties but it has not been maintained at all over the past couple years. Definitely don't take children here. It is too dirty and gross. Just hoping that I didn't bring bedbugs home with me.

Cozy place right near the water.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet, good room heater
Cons: Nothing close
This was a staycation for me. Thought this location was wonderful..right on the estuary. It was a rainy and cold weekend, but my room was toasty. Clean and comforable room. Rates were ideal. I would return and recommend.

Location was good.

Pros: Free breakfast
When I book the room, I was hoping to get 2 beds and we couldn't. This hotel offers a free internet, however I didn't get the pass code at the time of check in. Since My daughter-in-law and I were checked in late didn't bother to call the front desk. Oh, not to for get keys they made for me was not working so I had to walk back to the lobby for re-key.

Nice location, a bit dated

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
The hotel is right on the Marina. Nice, Quiet location. The hallways are outdoors, so it's more like a Motel. Short drive through Posey Tube to get to Jack London Square where there are many mid-high end restaurants. Close to Oakland, and Oakland Airport.

Good location, good value

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Cons: slow internet
The value for the price paid was pretty good. They have free breakfast and free internet. But the internet is quite slow. There was a torn towel and no bath soap, only the sink soap. Linens are clean.

Intimate & Quiet

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
Enjoyed my stay at Marina Village Inn -- intimate, quiet, out of the way. Great view of the Marina. I had originally booked the room for the price and am glad that I did -- it is a cool place for the price and I would stay there again.
