The location and vicinity to beach was awesome. However we found glass in morning breakfast and also got food poisoning from it. When complained about it they just nodded along and definitely took precautions. but didnt refund even our breakfast fees or provide any other complimentary service.

Sakala review

We stayed at Sakala for 6 nights. We reserved a room with view to pool. That was on the 5th floor and we had to walk endless hallways to reach our room. In this hotel I advice to choose access to pool -room, because the pool area is wonderful. The Sakala resort area was very big, and to go to Sakala beach club you need to cross a very busy road. There is hotel personnel to quide you over, but good to know before choosing where to stay. Breakfast was good, but to get coffee from the barista area it took so long that the coffee was cold when served. Also the breakfast room was so huge and diveded into three different areas, so picking toast, omelets, fruits, juice and what ever you wanted to have took many steps and many minutes. Personnel were very polite, and it was easy to get lunch or beveridges from different bars in the resort. Rooms were a bit gloomy with dark floor materials and as the rooms were all very big, they also were chilly. Also Sakala is situated in quite remote area, so there were not many nice places outside Sakala to go for dinner or to do some shopping.

Hotel and staff were amazing...location of the hotel was unsatisfactory at best for travelers who want to explore or check out beautiful beaches. If you're a family just wanting pool time then this is a great pick. Massages, restaurants, and shopping are all a 10 minute walk away...the view from the pool was amazing but once you reach the beach you quickly realize there is nowhere to wonder. This is a jetstar airline hotel for pilots and stewardesses so a one night stay is perfect for that crowd. Overall, after 5 days we feel very relaxed but missed out on beautiful views and amazing beaches.

Overall, the resort is very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable with good sturdy pillows, enabling us to have a good sleep every night. Staff are also friendly and welcoming, kudos to Yani and team for always checking in on us. Our children practically had the whole pool to themselves every morning. Breakfast was okay and of a decent spread, though the taste and quality could be improved on. For shopping and dining options, there aren't much in the hood, so we took a Grab ride daily to look for more activities further down the street/ nearer to the city centre.

Nice Stay at the Sakala

he facilities were clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the mineral water bottles were replaced daily. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice in a pleasant atmosphere. The only negative is a meal served to my friend at the beach club restaurant, he did not like it. However, this experience was made up for later when we ate at the Indonesian restaurant, the food was excellent, but the best thing was Rini's service, with her kindness and sense of humor. Rini made our experience extraordinary.

Loved the egg station chef Kuma who remembered my order of my omelette every morning. The two bedroom suite was cleaned beautifully and so big and comfortable to stay in. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa for our trip to Bali, the apartment was huge, very well maintained and had everything we needed and more, it came with a butler, ours was Yudi, he was fantastic, everything we needed he sorted immediately, he would WhatsApp us restaurant suggestions, tours and what was happening in the resort, we really couldn't have asked for more from him. This place is an ideal relaxation destination, was a couple hours from all the hustle and bustle of Bali but that suited us and taxis were so cheap it didn't matter. Would highly recommend this resort!

Not quite 5*.

Personally I don’t feel this is the 5* resort that it advertised. We actually got Bali belly from eating at the beach club restaurant here and it never seemed to be addressed. We had an awful room to begin with that smelt like mold and the room was so cold but you couldn’t turn the AC off. I complained and so they did come to find us to move us to another room, but I just feel that the rooms aren’t the clean standard that you would find in Europe. There isn’t much around this hotel, and you have to book the shuttle bus in advance which sort of defeats the object of hopping over to the beach.

It was a lovely place to stay, loved the pool. Showers had grime in corners and needs proper cleaning. Kettle was leaking out and the replacement was the same. No proper bar fridge/fridge, thus was not able to store medication that needed to be kept in a fridge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices and resonable price.

Sakala Resort, what a beauty! Stunning rooms, stunning hotel! A special thanks to Demmy and his team, I celebrated my Birthday whilst staying at Sakala last week and wow! A special Birthday breakfast with singing staff, a cake with candles and the most amazing food. Come home later that evening to Happy Birthday written on our bed in Banana leaf and red roses, absolutely stunning! Demmy and his team made our stay spectacular and we cannot thank them enough. The good things 1. The room of the hotel was clean and good. 2. There is a shuttle bus to the Bali collection shopping. The bad things: 1. The water of the swimming pool was so dirty and we could not swim. 2. The stuff members at the check-in counter didn’t explain about things in the hotel. 3. The staff members didn’t have enough hospitality attitude toward the guests.
