As many others had said, the owners here are so inviting and friendly. We ended up having great conversations with them and other guests during the breakfast, which is fully inclusive. The property itself is beautiful and very unique and the nearby town of Tourrettes sur le Loupe is a tiny hidden treasure. Originally came to the region to explore Nice and Monaco but we found the area around the property to provide some of our favorite experiences of the trip.

The perfect South of France experience

A very special place to stay. I was made to feel like a member of the family, and excellent hosts Frederic and Florence went out of their way to make sure I was looked after during my stay, even offering to drive me to local villages. Sitting around the beautiful natural pool in the evening sharing food and homemade aperitifs with the wonderfully welcoming hosts and fellow guests, or enjoying the delicious breakfast around a big wooden table accompanied by the sound of cigales every morning was the ultimate French experience. Close enough to the coast to be near the excitement of the Cote d'Azur, but far enough away to feel like the rest of the world doesn't exist. A truly relaxing week that felt more like spending a week with friends in a beautiful home in the French countryside. However, to make the most of the area, you definitely need a car, or be fit enough to ride a bike (which I unfortunately was not, but my fellow guests assured me the scenery was magnificent!) I was particularly pleased to find such a safe and welcoming place as a female travelling alone. Highly recommended.

great location near Vence

Its as if you own a Chateaux on the hills of the French Riviera. The owners F&F were very friendly hospitable and helpful. They have great 'gourmet' recommendations, and serve fantastic French style Bfasts and coffee..its a rare find...with great views, fantastic eco-friendly pool and country nights..

Excellent place to stay

The room was comfortable with excellent view, daily housekeeping available. The host were extremely approachable and were able to help us with our problems. Breakfast was baked fresh in the morning by the host and it was delicious. Towns and food were only a short drive away. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Fabulous setting, fantastic view, wonderful hosts!

The initial purpose of my visit to France was a photography retreat in Cannes but I wanted to also experience a bit more than that. As soon as I saw the photos of this place I knew I wanted to stay there. Being up in the Maritime Alps in amongst the villas and small towns has always appealed to me. Although Le Mazet was a bit tricky to find (there are signs but small), it was such a treasure to find! It is tucked away at the end of the road, and very quiet and peaceful. The room I had was completely modernized, incredibly clean and everything you could want. And yet the exterior retained the old world charm and beauty that drew me to it in the first place. The hosts are so nice! They bent over backwards trying to make sure that my stay was a pleasant one. Since I hadn't rented a car, they helped me get from one place to another, and treated me as though I was family. They were friendly without being intrusive, and really seemed to care about their guests. Everything about this experience exceeded my expectations, and I plan to return when I have a chance, stay longer, and take advantage of the pool and amenities of a full kitchen provided for guests. This is definitely a place you could stay for days and enjoy every minute.

Deze locatie is echt een aanrader. Niet alleen doen de gastheer en -vrouw hun uiterste best om je het gevoel te geven thuis te zijn, ze staan je aan de ontbijttafel bij met alle informatie die je maar nodig hebt. Het ontbijt was uitmuntend. Prachtig zicht, snelle en zeer vriendelijke bediening, verse lokale en in huis gemaakte producten, warme pannenkoeken en zelfs een lekkere omelet op verzoek. Wij hadden de gîtes, en die is echt aan te raden, ruim, mooi en alles is er aanwezig. Ons beddegoed is wel niet ververst geweest tijdens ons verblijf, maar dat kan ook zijn omdat we bepaalde dagen soms maar tegen de middag vertrokken. Er waren ook geen muggenramen aanwezig, maar de eigenaar had er wel oren naar deze aan te schaffen. Deze sympathieke mensen weten wat het is om een hotel uit te baten en wat de mensen graag willen. Wij gaan er alvast zeker nog eens terug in de komende jaren.

Un posto incantevole

La struttura è bella, i proprietari molto amichevoli. La zona è notevole, perché nel giro di circa 5 chilometri ci sono Vence, Saint Paul e Tourrettes (meno nota ma altrettanto bella). La colazione è un'ottima occasione per conoscere gli altri ospiti.

Das kleine Chambre d`hote liegt zwischen Tourette und Vence in einem wunderschönen und sehr gepflegten Garten mit sehr schönem Pool und Terasse mit Blick auf Meer und Nizza. Die Gastfreundschaft des Gastgeberehepaares schafft eine fast familiäre Atmosphäre. Alles sehr gepflegt, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Ein Frühstück mit Croissants, Kuchen, Galettes und zahlreichen selbstgemachten Confitüren. Sehr zu empfehlen für Menschen, die eine Alternative zum klassischen Hotel suchen.
